  1. Yes! The school is reasonably priced and has a later closing date for applications than a lot of other schools. Last year they had 260 applications, this year was more than double. They read every single application. If you haven't gotten a call or email yet, don't despair. Keep in mind that some of the people they call to interview may have accepted a spot in another program between the time of their application and the interview call. So that opens an interview spot for someone else. Don't lose hope ❤️
  2. If it makes you feel any better, they had over 500 applicants this year!
  3. Hey guys, I just spoke with our faculty and they had an update! This cycle has been beyond hectic while they've compiled and initiated our pilot courses in the new Blackboard program, weathered a Winter storm that resulted in multiple days of closed campus, and kept all of our cohorts' instruction on schedule by shifting to remote learning. They were able to tell me that this cycle yielded an amazing number of applications- twice as many as last year! They said that each application deserves a fair review, which we all know requires time. They are still working through the application reviews. Considering the number of applicants, they said that they expect to begin calls sometime next week and they empathize with the level of anxiety that accompanies the waiting process. They also mentioned that they are aware that interviewees might have to travel for their interview and they are working hard to finish their review so that arrangements can be planned. Keep hanging in there. Keep preparing for your interview. Verbalize your answers and practice. I hope this helps! Best of luck to you all.
  4. Hey you guys, I just got home from 5 hours of lecture. I didn't think to ask today and it wasn't mentioned. There wasn't much time for chit chat since we had a lot of material to cover. I'm so sorry that I don't have any updates. Fingers crossed for you guys!
  5. While you guys are waiting, be sure that you're contemplating your answers to interview questions. I read so many different blog posts and interview articles to prepare for the interview. One thing I didn't do (and really wished afterward that I had) was to actually verbalize the responses. Get with your friend/spouse/family whatever and have them ask you questions from a list of interview questions. Say your answers out loud. See where you stumble. We put so much into our application and preparing for the interview. When I walked through those doors, I was shaking even though I felt that I had done everything I could to be ready. Use your time well while you wait. You can be anxious and preparing while you wait or you can just be anxious. You can do this!
  6. I asked yesterday and was told, "We're working on it." It seemed like it was stressful for them, so I didn't push further. They did say that interviews will be the 1st and 2nd week of March, though. I'm sorry y'all, I wish I had a more detailed update for you. The waiting is so hard.
  7. @pass.dat.gas I'm in class to day with them and I'll ask for you guys.
  8. Hey you guys, Yesterday was a holiday. Today and tomorrow have both been declared under inclement weather policy at UAMS. I doubt you will hear today or tomorrow because of this. Try not to think about it. I know this is easier said than done. Brush up on your interview skills- think about some of your complicated cases; remember the details. Think about times when you've been wrong and learned a lesson from the situation and how it affected your practice moving forward. Think about what your future goals are in the world of anesthesia. Consider your support system and think about what you have done to prepare for the challenge of CRNA school. You can do this. (I'd like to add that none of these are exact questions that I was asked in my interview, but they are questions that helped me to feel prepared for the questions I was asked.)
  9. One of the program directors mentioned today that they are taking 16 and are still reviewing applications. Best of luck to all of you, I know it's stressful! I didn't hear back for an interview until mid-February last year. The anxiety was eating me alive.
  10. We apparently do get notifications! Our cohort ended up being TWELVE when spots were offered originally and then the class size was increased to fourteen. As far as interviews, I heard that 30 interviews were conducted but that information wasn't from an official source. I know that this year they are changing some things with application/interview processes now that they've learned what works for them from the previous 4 classes. Congratulations on applying!
  11. I was waitlisted and got called about an hour ago! They were approved for two more spots!
