  1. hi everyone, still waiting for a decision. but I called admissions to ask them a few questions about my application since I just complete IP classes, and they said that the absolute latest I could receive a decision having applied for priority deadline would be the 3rd week of dec (could be either rejection or acceptance). but they do go all the way until jan 1 releasing decisions for non priority apparently. thought it might help anyone who was curious. good luck to all, fingers crossed!
  2. sorry to hear that, your stats sound so good too... its def probably the experience. A lot of programs prefer people with experience over those who have none. I also didn't have much, so im opting to do some volunteering until I apply again, in hopefully January. Im hoping to fill my schedule up with a handful or so, that way I have a variety of different experiences in the hospital setting in the short time I have before applying again. I would also hopefully get some good letter of reccs and it's the only other thing I can think of doing beside retaking classes, which would just be expensive for me and not guaranteed I get As..
  3. Well that's annoying. That's so different from what I was told! But both are believable...Terrible if you choose to believe one answer and then it negatively affects your application. Thanks for your input. I hope they are still doing acceptances/ waitlisting. Don't just count on my account. I was surprised when I received a rejection so early since they do go up to the second week in June. Hopefully it was just something they didn't like with my application. Still rooting for everyone else and hope to still hear some good news from the rest of you.
  4. Hmm, I will definitely double-check on that next time I call and lyk! It would be great if I didn't have to wait another year.
  5. I would consider other schools but I don't think there are any more in the NYC area or ones I have credentials for?? But it's fine! Any suggestions are welcome though. I got the rejection via email saying that there was a decision available. I did check Albert first and saw nothing so that was a clue I wasn't accepted. I checked earlier in the day and saw my checklist was gone so I knew a decision was coming today.
  6. I think you can only apply for one application cycle a year?. When I called and asked they said I couldn't apply for Spring24 but I could apply for Fall24 when they open in Aug.
  7. For everyone who got accepted, or even waitlisted, congrats! Unfortunately, I got my rejection today, so I will be applying for fall24 since thats the earliest I can apply. Im not sure if this means they are officially starting to distribute rejections, or if mine was just really bad when they came across it LOL. For those confused about the acceptance timeline process, I called today trying to ask some questions and got a little bit of clarification. I asked if it matters how early you apply, or just as long as it's before the priority deadline. I was told it dosent matter (as long as you submit before the priority deadline) because all the applications are reviewed at the same time, it's just based on ranking. IDK how this applies to applications submitted after the priority deadline.. So I guess it's safe to assume that a person who applied in March and got an acceptance sooner than the person who applied last Sep, is at a higher rank according to nyu's standard among the applicant pool. And if people defer, or reject, or don't pay the deposit, they go down the ranks and pick the next person?
  8. Did anyone actually add/ update any information on their application?
