I believe base rate is in the ballpark of $33/hr plus all of your shift differential. I heard that the critical care units at the main medical center get an extra $12/hr of critical care pay but I think you have to have a least a year of experience to qualify for that.

I applied for the PICU as an experienced RN so I'm not sure about the residency program. It sounds like those are the only units they are hiring new grads for right now but I would just apply and talk to the recruiter about which unit you want.

I ended up applying under the 1 yr experience RN position even though I was still in the middle of Cincinnati Childrens nurse residency program. They are just having me do 6-8 weeks of orientation instead of the full nurse residency program.

I got an email and set up a phone interview with just the recruiter. Then I interviewed with the PICU leadership and educators via Microsoft Teams.

I'm coming from out of state as well. I'm currently over halfway through orientation in the PICU at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. I absolutely love it but we're trying to move to Houston to be closer to my mother-in-law who is just diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer ?.

I've been checking the site everyday and haven't seen anything yet and I don't know who to reach out to regarding applying ?. Please share if you find out anymore info!
