  1. Hello, From what is mentioned above, Some hospitals such as Anaheim West Medical, St Francis medical center, Centinella medical center. You can also try DaVita, skilled nursing facilities , and surgical centers around your county. You're going to have to try and apply. You are going to get rejected from some places, which is very common. My advice is just to apply. Go to the interview. Be transparent about what happened that put you on probation and the lessons you learned from it. You have to be humble and have some humility. Then prove that you are a better nurse now. Remember, being on probation means you don't have much options regarding job opportunities. So you cannot be picky. I've had multiple rejections. But I'm grateful for what I received. Probation sucks. But you gotta move forward. Best of luck.
  2. I'm not sure. Wouldn't that require me to be diagnosed?
  3. It's a new RN position but in the same hospital.
  4. Hello, It has been over 4 months now and I am still waiting for approval of my position. Even my lawyer has contacted my probation officer and still with the same answer "short staffed, no updates". At this point, this is some BS. I understand they are short staff but every facility in the country involving nurses are short staff. It doesn't mean they can use that as an excuse. I don't know what other options I have at this point. It's very frustrating and unfair.
  5. Okay, thank you Hello, my probation officer hasn't responded to my emails for 3 weeks now. Is there anyone else I can contact?
  6. Hello, what I meant was how do I apply or what website is it? Thank you
  7. Hello, thank you for that information. How long did she have to wait after that error? How many additional weeks or months? I'm just afraid my progress will start at the bottom and have to wait another 3 months. I don't think I have enough for that. Good morning, thank you for sharing this information. Would you be able to provide me more info regarding this?
  8. Thank you, Initially, I was emailing my probation monitor every week. Then every other week. She's still giving me the same answers. I hope they are speeding up the process. I just want to move on from this probation and get it done so I can move on with my life. Thank you again for giving me hope.
  9. Thank you, It's so overwhelming and I'm trying to save as much as I can for the following months. I'm just hoping it's soon. I just take it one day at a time. Thank you again
  10. Thank you, I'm just anxious and overwhelmed. I'm a single father and barely making ends meet. It's frustrating that we have to wait this long. They need to hire more staff. CA BRN has always been slow when it comes to paperwork
  11. I have, (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), but he never responded. There was an error with the position. They had to confirm with my employer then back to nursing consultant. So I don't know if it's going to start another 3 months.
  12. Good evening, it's been over 3 months and still they haven't approved my position. Anyone else going through this?
  13. Hello, I didn't even think about that. I did update my nurse manager two weeks ago. Will probably keep updating her. But yes, it is so frustrating. I emailed the probation manager since my officer is out on vacation. Hopefully he can give an answer. Over 2 months is ridiculous.
  14. Hello, thanks for your response I completely agree. I'm also afraid to keep following up. I feel like they might just decline my RN position if I keep following up with them. It's frustrating. By the way, how do I contact the probation manager?
  15. I was recently placed on probation early this year and my RN position is pending approval. Per my probation officer, it will take up to 3 weeks or more. It's almost 3 months and she still states "it will take 3 weeks or more". It's frustrating because I feel like they lost my paperwork or something. Does anyone know how long it typically take for the BRN to approve RN position? I live in CA. Thank you
