  1. Thomas Edison in Trenton NJ. Give it a try.
  2. Hey yes he did! Needless to say it's a huge relief. Thank you and good luck!
  3. Hey unfortunately he did not. We were not too disappointed since we applied so last minute and didn't expect a lot since it's so competitive. I'm low-key glad that he didn't get in because it would've been very hard on us financially. He's now looking at another school that costs a fraction of NYU and we feel fairly confident about getting in. I would say you should still try your luck, I hope you get in but don't despair if you don't. From what I gather, where you went to school really is not important in nursing.
  4. Thank you for your response! We are waiting for a decision now... His last 2 pre-reqs are on track for A's as well so if he doesn't get in, we can always try again for next Spring. Fingers crossed...
  5. Hello. Asking on behalf of my husband with very low GPA who is looking at the NYU ABSN program due to no GPA requirement. He has a Bachelor's in Biology with 2.6 GPA, EMT-B certification (but never worked as one), 2 years experience as a pharmacy tech, 3 years experience as patient care tech at a hospital, two recommendation letters from registers nurses, one of whom is the director of nursing at the hospital. He has all A's in the prerequisites except Chemistry where he got a B, and two prerequisites which are currently ongoing. Obviously NYU is bound to be very competitive, however, given their holistic approach I was thinking maybe he has a chance with the extensive work experience and great letters of recommendation. I do not work in the healthcare field and have no idea what to expect. Appreciate anyone with insights.
