  1. Yes, please! Crazy how expensive these access codes are, especially since we have to purchase all the books for the whole program right now.
  2. Oh that's strange. I'm suppose to be purchasing EHR for the program. I wonder ? if we will use it...?
  3. You've given the perfect description of nursing school. LOL my LVN program had me this way as well. Okay, so powerpoints and notes should help for exams. Gotcha! Did yall have alot of EHR?
  4. If yall don't mind me asking, Any studying tips yall can recommend for the program?
  5. Oh darn! I was really hoping I'd find someone who may have the used books. Thank you both for offering and checking for me though. I appreciate it.
  6. I need the Lippincott Med-surg 15th edition, Maternal child nursing 4th edition, skills for nursing education 5th edition, fundamentals of nursing 9th edition. Do you have these?
  7. First off Congratulations for completing the program! Wow! Majority of your books are FA Davis. That's interesting. North Harris is using Lippincott wolters kluwer.
  8. I start June 5th at North Harris. I was hoping to purchase the online access and then find something cheaper for the physical textbook, but they are more expensive.
  9. Does anyone know where to get the lippincott textbooks for cheap?
  10. Thank you. Congratulations to you as well! I wanted to apply to Kingwood as well. But I went ahead and accepted the Summer start because I had the same fear. What if I wait on Kingwood and don't make it? Then I would have declined a spot I was already accepted too. Plus, I hear its two days a week for lecture, so personally I think that isn't too bad. But I do understand what your saying. It's reasonable to want to go to the campus right next to your home.
  11. I recently got my acceptance for the Summer transition track. I had a 7.2. I thought Kingwood only had the Fall start? Good luck on your venture!
  12. Okay, that's helpful! Thank you for responding to me! I am in the Summer start program, so does that mean when I start in June I will have 2 clinical days? 12hr days? And Monday Tuesday day classes?
  13. Hello, I know everyone on this thread has probably moved forward in their journey. None of you probably check this thread anymore, but I'm hoping someone might check my message and may be able to answer my questions. I have been accepted to the transition track at lone star north harris 2023. I read on the website, that classes are usually twice a week between 8am and 4pm. I was wondering if someone could share what their schedule was like during the program? Was it Monday and Wednesday? Or Tuesday and Thursday? Was it from 8am to 4pm? Was it like 2 hour classes in between those hours? Please can someone help me out. I'd like to be prepared for the type of schedule I will have and make accomodations.
  14. Hello Nursing Student Community, I have recently submitted my application for Lone Star college's transition program, which starts this Summer. I was wondering if anyone else on here is also trying for the program or knows someone already in the program and what they're scores were to be accepted? I submitted my application with a 7.2 score.
