I also sent an email to the person who sent registration info. I received an automatic reply that she would be out of office until 6/26

Did you guys try to click on registration before today? I did. And as I'm reading over the email for class registration it says we should not have done that or we would receive an error message. I really hope that's not the case but what else could it be?

I don't think space will be an issue, besides the lab portion. Each class has 34 seats available it seems like. Labs have 12 seats

I assume we all have picked out which classes fit our schedules. Do you guys want to share which classes you're picking?

I did, I think you can schedule an appointment to go down in person and have a financial aid person help you fill out the necessary forms. But yes most documents are on FAFSA... I know there's a document you have to sign after reading about your loan.

There was an email send out last week about the process.

If you go to the ADMITTED STUDENT PORTAL click checklist. It will give you a step by step way to navigate admission process. Financial aide should be filled out with FAFSA, and select SAMUEL MERRITT as a possible school of attendance. Financial aide will receive that and then get together a package for you. They will reach out to you once they have an offer of funds. hope this helps! You can also go down to the campus admission office and try to get to talk to someone. I talked with a lady. I scheduled it through email

Hello current student! I do have a few questions for you. Which campus did you attend? Did your program offer preceptorships? Have you heard any rumors of preceptorships ending at Samuel Merritt? Thanks in advance for any information you share!

I did the same thing ! LOL. It takes a day for them to update the checklist. Once your payment goes through it will tell you the next steps for admission

I submitted mine. I believe the drop bar is towards the bottom for fall 2023 selection

I submitted mine, but it says on the portal that deposits aren't updated until the next day. So hopefully tomorrow we'll know more.

Yes I'm accepting. From what I've read on other threads, the wait list moves significantly sometimes. I'm not sure if theres an automatic enrollment for the following semester. Maybe reach out to admissions and see what they say.

I agree, speculating is useless. However, it's nice to network and see that others are waiting just like I am. There were points where I was unsure about whether I missed a step, so it was nice to see that others are in the same place as me. Also, I feel like this platform gives me an outlet for all of the anxieties during the waiting! LOL. I also wonder if the extension for the applications was due to a lack of applicants. It would make more sense to close the applications if there were a lot, not bring in more.

It would be great if we found out this week. I was fully looking forward to finding out the first weeks of April since all the past forums have found out around then. This chat seems less active when compared to previous cycles. However, I am sure there are people reading and not responding. Or maybe people just don't realize this platform of communication exists. Has anyone applied to SMU before?
