  1. Hi, congratulations on being accepted in both schools. it is a hard decision because on one side you have GMU that will be a faster track and if not cheaper, free in your case, and most important of all, close to home.... on the other side VCU might give you a better education, I don't know much about their program, but I know recent grads from both schools, the one from VCU had more confidence and was happier with her job. I don't like GMU. I got waitlisted for the transfer program. I ended up choosing Shenandoah. However, for practicality: price, program length, distance from home, little to no student loans, GMU seems like a good option (I think that's the reason it is so competitive). I've hear many people unhappy with GMU's program but happy they got it done without major debt. Sorry, I am sure I wasn't helpful, but these are some points to reflect on. Another point, you may wanna think if GMU's tuition is worth a 3year work commitment. good luck.
  2. I agree .... We've seen more and more cases where criminals are defended while kids and innocent civilians die or suffer and their stories go completely ignored, all in the name of mental illness.
  3. I am applying for BSN programs in the area. GMU was at the top of my list, but after a semester of taking English classes there, I started to feel very discouraged. There aren't many people talking about the quality of the program, the little I heard sounds like it is very hard mainly because they don't prepare the nurses well. Is it true? I am starting to consider Shenandoah University. If any of you can please share your experience in GMU. I am also going to apply to Nova community college, but it is hard to get in there. I am just worried to get into a bad program since I do want to go onto graduating school one day.
  4. Hello, I am applying for nursing and considering Shenandoah. It seems the schedule is about 4 days a week, and I need to drive about an hour to get there, other than that I would like to know if this is actually a good nursing program and if anyone had experience with them, how did the clinical go? Do they teach well?
