  1. Most hospitals don't really mind piercings or tattoos anymore. They just encourage you to not wear dangling jewelry. I would probably just flip the septum piercing up but there are a few people in my class with nose piercings
  2. You're welcome! I'm not sure about that part yet. I have my clinical orientation next week so I can update you. They have you fill out a survey with your clinical shift preferences and if you have children/need childcare. I feel like they're pretty accommodating
  3. For first semester my schedule looks like: Mondays: pharmacology 9:00-11:50 am tuesdays: foundations of nursing lecture 9:00-11:50 am, health assessment lecture 2:00-3:50 pm wednesdays: foundations lab 9-11:50 am, health lab 2-4:50 pm thursdays: clinical judgment 9-11:50 am clinical judgment is only a 10 week course, then we have clinicals for foundations the last 5 weeks of the semester once a week (Thurs or Friday, AM or PM). Today I met two moms, one with a full time job, about to graduate this December. I definitely think it's doable! There are only a few clinical rotations that have 2 days a week. I'm sure as the semesters go on it gets more difficult but I just keep reminding myself it's only for a year and a half!
  4. I'm on the accelerated track. I'm only on week 6 but so far it's not too fast paced. I've had 4 exams so far, all A's/B's even with minimal studying because I have a toddler. I LOVE one of my professors and have her for two lectures and one lab every week. All of the professors and faculty are super nice though. You can tell everyone cares about your success and are always there if you need help ?
  5. I'm starting the ABSN track Fall 2023, just wanted to see if anyone had updates!
  6. I got accepted into OU's Traditional BSN program for Fall 2023. On my application I put the OKC campus as my preference but got assigned to the Lawton Campus. My husband and I are active duty military and live on base so I can't drive 2+ hours to/from school everyday. I've been trying to contact OU to get my site placement changed but they've been swamped. Is anyone else having this problem?
  7. Hi! This post is a year old but I got conditional acceptance for fall 2023 and I just wanted to see how your guys's first year went!
