Did anyone ask how many they were hiring for PICU I was too nervous to ask. Also I feel like each update is so unit specific everyone freaks me out

I got an email this morning that I got forwarded to second rounds for PICU. There were 12 interview sign up spots

Mine says last update today 5/19 and still says "under review" but no email. Not sure what it means, applied to PICU n ED.

I applied to the PICU and ED, one of the people interviewing me did his new grad residency through the PICU and works there now, I don't know if that has any relevance Genuinely think it goes based on vibes

I feel the same way! I start being honest then I'm like wait that's probably not what I want to hear. But a genuine response as opposed to a rehearsed response always comes off more sincere in my opinion. Don't worry

I had my interview today! Same questions two part why peds/why CHLA, then diversity/inclusion then above and beyond. They were nodding and smiling a lot but I cant tell if they liked me or they were just genuinely nice people. I'm feeling super impatient I need to know if I did well. I blacked out so I honestly don't know how I did. I finished then went oh shoot I forgot a bunch of important points I wrote down. I think my preceptorship in the PICU helped a lot because it seemed like they appreciated pediatric centered examples. Ahh sorry I just want to vent I'm feeling so many feelings. If anyone wants to chat or vent let me know I'd love to talk to someone other than my boyfriend about it. Comment and I'll try to find a way to share my contact info!

Got an interview invite yesterday, applied for PICU and ED

Does that mean you got an interview last year? If so how was the process and how did it go? Why did you apply again?

Are they done offering interviews? Did this include internal and external applicants?

If anyone was wondering, I called UCLA Health HR and they reassured me that the hiring freeze would not interfere with the hiring of new grads to the hospital

Yeah they gave us our schedules at orientation

Yeah I might just have to find something online and easy. We're doing pharmacology and patho first semester. And I just found out I have to take a organic chem because the one I took wasn't good enough and maybe a history class? and now I am stressed on when I'm gonna squeeze it in

@Mrod3434 is it a requirement to take your upper division GE first semester or is it just before graduation

So it's not $600 up front?

I think Mrod said they took theirs during the first semester I don't think it's an issue for the first semester but seems like it's a prerequisite for a second semester class @tisiphone36 Thank you so much for taking the time to reply to me!
