  1. I am finishing up my first assignment in NYC. I loved it so much here that I am staying for another at a different facility. I do not pay for my drug screens. They are covered through my agency. Traveling is scary but its so much fun too. Where are you looking to go? Whats wrong with your current situation?
  2. I have been shopping around with different agencies looking for a new travel assignment and possible switch from my current agency. I'm curious what happens if you 2 recuirters send out your file to the same facility? Im afraid this may have just happened to me. Opps:(
  3. Im wrapping up my first assignment and I chose to stay relatively close to home (200 miles). My question is for those of you who have traveled distances. How do you get your things from place to place? Especially if 1 your car is small and it doesnt fit and 2. if you fly to your next destination?
  4. When I started out on my travel quest I too looked at AM, but was quickly turned off. Its true that the pay and compenstations are poor but what really turned me off was the pushy recuirters. Everytime i told her i wasnt ready yet or that i wasnt interested in a particular area she basically gave me attitude and scolded me. As if that was going to make me change my mind. I am currently wrapping up my first assignment with another company and a recuirter I love. And the recruiter for AM still calls me 2 times a month and emails me and has her assistant call me. Even after I have repeatedly told her I am not interested in traveling with them and am happy with who I am with. Do your homework... there are a lot better companies to work for.

Anyone know just how speedy Mass. is in processing licenses by endorsement. I am looking at the possibility of going there in July and was wondering if it was even a possibility to have my license by mid July. Thanks!!
  6. help! i have had my profile sent out for an amazing opportunity at johns hopkins. i was given a contact name and number. i call the contact person last evening about 530. my recruiter phoned this morning and told me to be persistant and call again today if i had not heard anything by this afternoon. while, i understand that persistance maybe be a key to showing your interest, i can't help but feel pushy and annoying. i am i wrong in this. should i call this woman again today or give her a day to contact me?

I'm thinking of going with NovaPro for my first assignment. The recruiter has been very friendly and helpful (more than some other co's) with my questions and concerns as a first time traveler. Anyone have any info on novapro or suggestion of other good co's to check out.
  8. hey jellie, I too am interested in traveling to NY for work. I'm in discussion with several travel agencies. It seems EVERYONE wants to go to NYC. I was told by one company that assignments in NYC go fast. I'm still hoping to find one that will get me there. If you find anything (or if I do) let me know. The best advice I can offer you now its get your license in NY now! The state of NY is very slow at processing app's it takes the full 8 weeks or more. This I have been told by several people. And if you find an assignment that is open quick you will need to have your license first before they will consider you. Get your foot in the door and open up talks with the travel agencies you arent obligated to anything until you sign that contract. Good luck
  9. I am applying for license by endorsement. Here in Michigan we don't have these Good Moral Character compliances. I havent been convicted of any crimes so I am really confused on what I am supposed to submit (if anything) to verify my good moral character????
  10. thanks for your help Lena... I was getting so confused the only form that kept coming up with the Good Moral Character. Thanks... I found everything I needed on PCS site.
  11. The only "forms" on their website are of good moral character license. What is that? is that the same thing. It's not as clear cut as some of the other states info.
  12. I am an RN in Michigan. I am looking to get my license in MA. The BON's website kinda confused me as to what the application actually is and what the fee's are. Can anyone direct me to the correct form? Jenn
