  1. @DeeMS for pharmacology all I did was EAQS and read the rationales, I did the same for med surg 1 and psych. Med surg 2 and ob I used different things whatever my classmates recommended me. I'm working full time overnights but my job is sooo slow that I get my assignments done overnight. It's not hard if you know the right people. I finish those 25 weekly assignments in about 5 hours in a week . Some people overthink and get discouraged. My job also allows me to not work when I have to fly out but obviously I don't get paid which is why I had formed groups to financially sustain myself off 700$ everytime I went to Florida.
  2. First time I stayed was May 29- June 11 or 12? I was there 13 days for clinical. one day of arrival and one day of flying out. Totaling 15 days. I just came back Sep 30. I stayed 12 clinical days. from Sept18-30 plus arrival plus flying out totaling 14 days. My next clinical will be Nov. 27-Dec 15 Clinical days. I will fly in one day before and fly out so that is going to be 19 days total and that's if you don't miss clinicals and you get everything back to back. There are no Sunday Clinicals. I normally would finish Theory classes first then go. For example if the final exam is Wednesday I would fly out on Sunday at like 5am and be there Sunday by 4pm in Florida and be in clinical Monday morning or Monday afternoon whichever clinical time I was scheduled for. FYI sometimes they give you nights. Sometimes your clinicals are at the school which were my favorite. If you go every three months it just depends on how many days you book. NonLVN are go more. I am an LVN and didn't have to fly out for fundamentals. My curriculum for LVN was 13 days the first time, 12 days the second time, and 17 days the third time. Then I fly one last time for a week for residency week.
  3. UPDATE: I am officially in Capstone Theory 10/2/23-01/03/23. I plan on doing clinicals right after midterm (11/15/23) because there is a huge gap before the final exam (01/3/2024). Exit week for me is Jan8-14. Those of you who plan on going. About 90% pass everything. I wouldn't be so nervous about going. It is best to go right after finishing your final exams after each theory course has ended. Some students failed trying to do both theory and clinicals at the same time. It is best to form a group prior to going. I learned being by yourself you will encounter weirdos outside of your Airbnb so find a Coed group. If you are by yourself you will probably end up falling asleep before turning in your assignment which can count as a missed clinical. It happened to one of my classmates that came alone. My group was on top of each other's butts making sure all of us had a ride, making sure we all submitted our assignment, and sharing important and knowledgeable information which made it easier on all of us. None of us were picky when it came to finding a place and privacy. We were all considerate and mindful. A few people I talked to were paying around 2200$ alone. I've only been paying max 700$ including food and transportation each time I go because I had a group of 4 and 5. My last clinicals I made a group of 7 with one still pending. While a lot of us like having privacy, I believe having a group was wayyy more beneficial. Good luck to you all. I personally, believe my group contributed to me passing my courses. Those of you incoming to ICHS, no school is perfect but I assure you if you work as a team you will definitely pass.
  4. Hey everyone, I am currently at ICHS clinicals. I ended up failing med surg 2 and OB PEDS by one percent. I plan on retaking again. I was told in an email by the professor that I will get an email regarding on what to do next when the next quarter starts. I am still able to do clinicals for these two that I failed but I cant move forward until after I pass theory again. Do not be scared to come here. It is a little difficult the first round because you have to get familiar and situated with how things flow but the second time around everything gets easier. Just make sure you are not alone! you will fail if you think you can come and be and introvert.
