Hi Grumpy, Forgot about the theater vs OR differences, I'm an American so it slipped my mind. For generators I mean like the boxes that something like LigaSure handpieces would connect to in order to get advanced bipolar or monopolar energy for procedures. I've heard from others that set-up in general in theaters can be somewhat annoying and time consuming, was wondering if generators had anything to do with it or if the UK vs USA differences had anything to do with it either - hence my posting in here.

Do any nurses here feel that OR set-up time is a huge inconvenience? I've heard from several nurses in the OR that setting up for procedures, specifically ones that require advanced energy, can be a drag. Is that true? Are the generators that get brought in to the OR too big or hard to maneuver? Would having a generator that is small, compact, had multiple types of energy on it, etc. be noticeably beneficial?

Who are the distributors and suppliers that LTCs are using given how crazy up and down Covid is? I assume LTCs are just using the free government Abbott tests right? But those don't seem a super consistent method to rely on.

How do you deal with hospitals that don't seem to value nursing opinions. When there are trials for potential new device PO's and they don't care what you have to say about the functionality, what then?

When the state mandates drop, and free test kit funding isn't coming in anymore from the government, what are LTC's like nursing homes planning on doing? Are they just going to risk it because the state says the don't have to test anymore, or are some setting some of their own budget aside? Who makes these decisions, and based off what?
