  1. I'm an LVN grad currently living in CA, but planning on moving to AZ after I get married. My problem is that I'm torn as to whether I should get my RN in CA or AZ. Which is a better deal? My RN prereqs will be finished this semester, and then I'll apply to an LVN-RN program here in CA. But wait lists are so long, I probably won't enter a program till late 2007 or even 2008. I heard there are rarely wait lists in AZ community colleges, so I can start the nursing program sooner. But then I'd have to wait a year to get AZ residency for cheaper tuition rates. Also, I'm worried about the transferability of my license. What if I get my RN license in AZ, and decide to move back to CA, or vice versa? Would that be another problem? I'm so confused!! Any advice would be of great help. Thanks in advance!!! (*I also posted this thread on the ARIZONA board*)
  2. I'm a new LVN grad with no nursing work experience aside from school. I'm currently attending my local community college full-time to finish my RN prerequisites, and have not started working yet. I plan on working after my prerequisites are completed, while I wait to get into the RN program. Was it a wise idea to continue my education first and not work as an LVN to gain experience? I'm worried that I'll forget valuable clinical experience when I start working later.
