UT Southwestern fall 2025 residency
Does anyone know anyone that has actually heard back from ED? Because I haven't seen anyone say that they've heard back from that unit and I'm not sure if they truly are delayed or if we all just happen to be the unlucky ones ?

I also interviewed for the ED on 6/6 and haven't heard anything back. During my interview I think they had told me they were looking to make decisions/offers the Friday after next which would've been 6/20, so I'm guessing I also didn't get it unless they've just been super delayed...

I have no idea how many apply to the programs, they had only mentioned how many they accept. I would love to know though!

Their YouTube account has an info session from 2 years ago where they answered a lot of questions, including regarding the cohort sizes. They had said it was 120 per campus and I believe around 40 for the Dallas weekend program.

No, I think last year eligibility emails started going out on March 3rd and acceptance emails around March 28th, so we've likely got a little ways to go still.

Have you already filled out the general scholarship application? I believe I remember seeing that you have to fill out the general scholarship application before being able to submit further individual applications.

I am doing the a/b combo vaccine since it doesn't state a specific version of either and just says how many doses are needed of each. I sure hope that satisfies the requirements!!

The longest should be the hep b series + titer, which is 7 months at the absolute fastest. The rest can be done within that time. So getting the first round done in January is pretty crucial for August enrollment.

If you don't have your records then you have to redo them all. That's the position I'm in and I started the whole list of them a few months ago all over again so I have records to submit. You just gave to have them all done before the semester starts that you are enrolling for.

The immunization records don't get submitted until you're already enrolled though.

Actually the TWU website is saying that the immunization records have to be submitted through the Pioneer portal. The information is below: https://twu.edu/student-health-services/submitting-immunization-records/

I just wanted to share this update in case it is relevant for anyone aside from me. In regards to the GPA being lower due to a previous degree, the nursing adviser stated "since they are a post-bacc student, they will be fine." I am taking this to mean that even if the cumulative GPA is below what they want, they will not disqualify you for eligibility purposes and will somewhat ignore the past degree. I did several weeks before submitting the NursingCas application. I think they only took around 48 hours for the results to come through.

Does anyone know which GPA they use to calculate program admission? Do they use the nursingcas cumulative GPA which includes all past coursework (no matter how old or if repeated) or the GPA that is on your current transcript? I just had my application verified and the cumulative GPA they calculated is pretty wildly different to my current GPA since it includes a past degree and I'm worried about that impacting my application consideration!

Does anyone know how they judge your GPA when considering a GPA from a previous bachelor's degree versus the post graduate course work that you've completed for prerequisites? For instance, I completed a bachelor's degree in 2020 and my GPA was not fantastic. But over the past year I have completed all of my prerequisites and currently my transcript shows a 3.0 cumulative GPA including my previous bachelor's course work and and a institution GPA for all of my prerequisites of 4.0. Also had a 92.7 on the TEAS. Even though my current stats are good, I am worried about the previous degree GPA coming back to bite me in the butt!

I actually still haven't gotten any official notification that I've been accepted as a student and I submitted the twu application on December 12th. On January 5th, I emailed the office of admissions processing to ask if they'd received all my transcripts and gently notify them that I had a deadline I had to meet for the nursingcas app that I was worried about. They answered 1 hour later stating they had all the transcripts and had now "removed the hold". I'm not quite sure what that meant exactly, but the next day I checked in the twu portal and my admission status had changed to accepted and I then had student access everywhere. I would recommend emailing the OAP email address to confirm that they have everything they need and check your webadviser portal.
