Discharge medications not ready for pickup
I was discharging a patient who had insulin lispro and insulin lantus ordered. I was also having 2 other discharges at the same time. Pharmacy confirmed lispro is ready but lantus won't be for another 2 days. I was told need to find another pharmacy that carries lantus today. My other discharge was halted because I had to call around while house sup and charge nurse asking me what's the hold up for my other discharge. So my question is: if patient has lispro already, is it going to kill the patient if he doesn't have lantus for 2 days?

Navigating a Career Crossroads in Residency
Hello everyone, I'm a recent graduate and presently in my third week of a residency program. However, I've been presented with an interview opportunity at the hospital I've always dreamed of working at. I'm conflicted because I feel guilty about potentially leaving my current position, as I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity, and I'm also concerned about maintaining positive connections as this hospital is part of a network. Any guidance or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can a RN-BSN program affect your chance of acceptance into Master or Doctorate programs?
Hello nurses! I am looking into RN-BSN programs to further my nursing career. My ultimate goal is getting a Masters or Doctorate (if masters are phased out by then). How should I pick the RN-BSN programs? I know that WGU has pass/fail grading system so I know it won't boost my GPA. But are there other things I should watch out for when I look for RN-BSN programs in order to successfully apply for Masters/Doctorate in the future? Currently, I am looking at Grand Canyon University, University of Texas Arlington, Arizona State University, and Chamberlain.

UC Davis New Grad Residency Fall 2023
Did anyone submit their applications on the last day of the deadline and heard back already? My application is still under review and I am wondering if they just haven't gotten to it yet.
