NJ Licensure by Endorsement 2023
You can definitely go to the Board of Nursing. I went to the office located in newark. They immediately processed my application. Previously, I was waiting for some time and it turns out that the issue was that my transcripts were in a different location within their system. Going in person definitely helps if you have the time! I was able to get my license almost immediately, I think it took a day to process.

NP pay
I was paid $150 to be on call over the weekend, essentially Friday evening to Monday morning.

Tips with NJ BON?
Did you bring any additional documents with you when you went? Or, did they just process you quickly simply because you were physically there? Did you make an appointment? Unfortunately, I applied for my APN in late November 2022, and I am still waiting. I have called the board at least four or five times at this point. Several items are still unchecked despite me letting them know the exact date they were emailed by the applicable institutions (transcripts, ANCC certification).

NJ Licensure by Endorsement 2023
It took over 5 weeks for me to get RN by endorsement in NJ. Getting my APN has been significantly longer.

New Grad in Urgent Care
Sorry, I don't have any answers to your question! I was wondering what your degree was in? I am considering urgent care and am an adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner. Thanks, and good luck to you!

Do urgent care clinics hire Adult Gerontology Primary Care NPs?
Hi, I was wondering if urgent care clinics hire adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioners (AGPCNP)? I'm aware that they higher FNPs. Also, is Urgent Care within the scope of an AGPCNP? I did receive training on managing acute conditions, but obviously not in the same way as an adult gerontology acute care nurse practitioner. In my clinical rotations I did 100 hours of urgent care, so I do have some experience. My first NP job has been doing home visits for adult family homes, memory care, and assisted living centers, so has been very much in the over 65 population. I'll be moving soon and am looking to possibly make a change over to urgent care. But, I have been reading mixed things about whether or not my degree is suited for this role or whether it is even reasonable to assume that I could be hired. I'm confused. Hoping someone has an opinion or thoughts? Thank you!
