  1. I did finished it in 6 months and its acceptable degree for military nursing but different branches has different sets of rules in regards to giving you like credit. In the Navy they would take me but my experience prior to MSN was not counted and no credits for my MSN. So basically getting in as new grad nurse pay and rank. I know AF and Army do give credit based on people I know personally
  2. Same here im 4 weeks this week also and its crickets. Last week my recruiter text me that we might get an update but nothing. Let me know if you get an update. Thanks
  3. Im on my 10th month now on this process. meps was probably on the early months. My meps was just normal physical, hearing, eye test and bunch of labs
  4. If your Google FY25 navy nurse corps bonus it will show current bonuses also for all specialties. Well im not there yet, im on the you got selected stage. Still waiting for official paperwork and ODS information stage.
  5. When I did paperwork with my recruiter, I signed for 100k bonus for critical care active duty for 4 year contract per my recruiter you get 25k per year on your anniversary and based on what I see online you get the first 25k on your first check. I know for med surg its 50k bonus
  6. Well the requirements is an accredited nursing degree from US. So based on my research the fastest online degree that I could get is thru WGU or Capella. I chose WGU because I have coworkers that did it thru them. The program is MSN in nursing leadership. Program is a 2 year program but you can take as much classes as you want so I finished it in 6 months. All classes are competency type you can challenge the class and if you pass your good for the next one. It's all essay except for one test. So every class has assigned essays and papers to do if you finished it and they check it your good
  7. I got my selection news Monday but no mention of rank, did you guys got news with your rank also?’or when did you guys got the update about it. Thanks
  8. I don't even have news yet.
  9. Congrats! What rank did they gave you?
  10. What specialty are you applying for? Its the waiting game right now.. hopefully you get your results soon!
  11. Hows your packet going? Did you get interviews January? After your packet got submitted? I Submitted last month and just waiting
  12. What is PROREQ- Y? I had another interview last week after my packet was sent to the boards it was more of a skills checklist. Whats FINSEL? Thanks!
  13. How long before you heard for the board results. Mine just got sent for this month. Thanks
  14. Thanks for the clarification, I guess coming from civilian the one that only affect my pay coming in as a commission is my rank. But my experience will count towards time towards promotion right? Thanks btw you always been helpful in this thread. Im on the process of going in, just waiting for my second interview to be scheduled.
  15. Question if you have prior nursing experience, any specifics on how they determine your rank? I thought MSN would give you automatic 2 years? And if they give you credit on you experience your pay would be based on initial rank and credited number of years, is my understanding right? Or your pay looks like initial rank and 0-2 years on the pay scale since your 0 years in the military? Thanks.
