  1. As a nurse we all go through rough days. We may take things personally. We may make mistakes. We all need to take care of ourselves. In my spare time to rejuvenate is to spend time with family. Enjoy the outdoors. Love to watch my video of Lake Michigan of waves crashing. It’s peaceful. I love the beach. This video I watch when I have had a rough day. I save it in my phone. It helps to ease the anxiety of the day. I love to sing especially show tunes from musicals. My stress level goes way down. The most important thing is holding hands with my husband because I know it will be okay. This is how I move to the next day and not burn out.
  2. The most important attribute as a nurse is to treat our patients holistically. We are not to judge. They are hurting and dealing with many things. We should embrace them as they are like family to us. We treat them with passion. We advocate for their needs. We use critical thinking skills to do our very best. At the end of the day we did our very best and bring hope to our patients. That’s what nursing is about life experiences and faith in our profession. This is the attribute of nursing having faith in our profession and standing proudly for all nurses. We are the beacon of hope.
