  1. I was arrested 3 months ago for a DUI, I made a poor decision and I got behind the wheel. I had to do a breathalyzer and showed over 80 mg. I truly regret what happened, I had a very bad night previously to that. This is my first arrest I am not a usual drinker. 3 months later I got accepted into my nursing program I have been working so hard for many years to get where I am today. I hired a lawyer I don't know what to do. My school requires a police record check. I want to know if I can still continue my studies and become a nurse or there is absolutely no chances for me to continue. I am located in Ontario.
  2. Hi there, im wondering if any Canadian nurses on here could give me an advice or wouldn’t mind sharing their experience... Long story short, I got charged with a DUI a few months in before getting accepted into nursing school in Ontario. I truly regret what happened, I took the wrong the decision to drive after having a couple of drinks. I will need to provide a Vulnerable screening police check in about a month and I’m really concerned about having problems with clinical placement since it will show as a DUI pending charge. I know that this does not represent my behaviour but it is really heartbreaking. If anyone knows anything please let me know.
