I got a call on Friday about the neuro ICU. I'm gonna email about the trauma SDU and confirm the neuro ICU position today

Yeah I guess that's not too bad, it is rlly just one additional patient. I just sometimes hear horror stories of people having like 8 patients haha. I know Vanderbilt app didn't ask for letters of recommendation etc. Did anyone follow up via email or otherwise to provide something like that after their interview?

Thanks! I looked into all that. I guess I am nervous about the culture. I've heard step down units in general can be crazy.. and I come from a state with legal restrictions on ratios. I just wish I could hear from someone who has worked on the unit haha.

Aw, I'm sorry. How do you know that? And have you heard anything from step down yet? Do you know anything about the trauma SDU at all? I'm moving from quite far so I am hoping to get more info but it is hard to find anything online! I get the vibe it is going to be a rough unit haha. I interviewed on Wednesday last week, so basically within a week they called me. From what neuro ICU told me today it sounds like the timeline for them is similar, maybe a little longer than a week.

I just heard back about the trauma step down unit. I'm supposed to get an email within the hour with the financial offer. good news is that they said the deadline is usually one week to accept, but she said if you're waiting to hear back from any other units that you are not held to that deadline and can instead wait until I hear back from the other unit(s).

I guess I'm worried if there is a possibility where I have to accept an offer BEFORE I hear back about another unit. I'm assuming no one knows, but is there a timeline of when we have to accept these offers if we get them?

Yes I had my trauma step down interview. It went alright I think! The manager said they should be sending out offers by Wednesday this coming week. I'm definitely nervous to hear back!

I have the one unit convo w trauma Stepdown scheduled this week, but also have heard nothing from neuro ICU on scheduling yet

I also got another interview email for Nuero ICU. I'm guessing they're just going by departments I probs wouldn't worry about it if you haven't gotten one yet!

Okay so I got an email this morning saying that they are moving forward with department conversations and that the unit will be reaching out to schedule a Department Conversation within the next week!

I applied for ICU. What about you? I know! But, I am guessing we aren't going to hear anything until at least August 15th. ? Are you local?

I applied on 07/17, and completed the video interview on the 21st. On Tuesday the 23rd I got a call from the talent acquisition woman [MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME] but she was just thanking me for my application, and confirmed that department conversations aren't starting until after Aug 15th!
