Trying to make a long story short, I've been a psych nurse for 7 years now. Around November I started travel nursing. I loved the facility so much I stayed until July. All of June I felt the unit getting very bad and dangerous. I asked for clear policies and procedures on what to do if XYZ happened. They said "use your judgement". A situation arisedwhere I was floated to children's psych. We were being attacked and bitten and to protect ourselves and patients after a doctor ordered seclusion, Myself and an aid took a (ped) patient to seclusion and I messaged the unit manager my immediate resignation that morning. She not only called the justice center on me but the BON. I feel hurt an betrayed. They are claiming abuse when we took the patient down to seclusion. The justice center did say they were starting an investigation but I haven't heard anything from the BON. I do have a lawyer I plan on using if needed. I also wondered, I started a new job in hospice (that I love) Do I need to tell them im being investigated? I wasnt aware until after I was hired. Im terrified of being fired from my new job
