I know I want to become an NP eventually, but I want to make sure I get lots of experience as an RN first. I haven't talked to students in either program, but I visited Duke's campus and it was really beautiful and the people were friendly. I probably would have had a more difficult decision if I had people I knew in either city. But since I'm a young woman who will be living alone, I'd rather live in a place that's safer. That scholarship money from JHU would've been nice though. I'm still waiting to hear if I got a scholarship/any aid from Duke.

I applied on July 15th. Have a 3.4 overall GPA with bachelors in psychology and a 3.5 prerequisite GPA. Had a B in AP1, B- in AP2, A in microbio + lab, A in stats, A in developmental psych, and A- in nutrition. I had a lot of leadership experience, work experience, and extracurriculars which I think helped a lot with my application! Good luck

Just wanted to update, I got in and will be attending!! I'm so excited!

I got into both too! I decided on Duke because the program is shorter so I can start working sooner, and because I like the Durham area better than Baltimore.

Hi everyone! I am applying for the ABSN program at Duke for Spring 2023. I did not see a forum created yet so I figured I would make one! Has anyone heard anything back yet? On the website it says we were supposed to hear by July, but I haven't heard anything.
