  1. LPN IV med administration courses?

    Hello, I have been an LPN for about 4 years now in missouri. I do have a compact licensure and license in a few other states. Im currently working in a hospital as a float pool nurse. I am curious however, is there any sort of course LPNs can take to be certified to admimister IV meds? I have come across many travel nurses from other states saying the LPNs at the hometown hospital do their own IV pushes. I was always under the impression this was out of our scope of practice. I also couldnt seem to find anything that gave a straightforward answer in regards to Missouri. If it is something that we are able to be traines to do it would make my life a million times easier at my job rather than having to find an RN to push my meds for me. Any advice or educational help is appreciated. thanks! (Also before it gets thrown in my face going to RN school IS NOT an option for me at this time financially)
