  1. Posted this in another section as well Checking in with the previous cohort (2022-2024) for the UOP ELMSN program. What has been your experience, thus far? Pros, Cons, Any regrets?
  2. Hi there! Checking in with the previous cohort (2022-2024) for the UOP ELMSN program. What has been your experience, thus far? Pros, Cons, Any regrets?
  3. 1 week from application complete email to invitation. Please keep in mind this was for early admit, so timeline might be sped up.
  4. From speaking with admissions, there are specific and multiple milestones in the accreditation process for which UOP has to meet. This gives me some reassurance as it means that there won't be any surprises about approval or disapproval. Better to have multiple check-in like milestones in order to rectify any issues before a decision is made vs a overall submission at the end without any continual feedback.
  5. I think I am planning to attend the program. Thought I’d give myself a couple days to make a logical decision without impulsivity and excitement. A small concern about CCNE accreditation, but the program is 24 months long. So they have that time span to gain accreditation before this cohort graduates. That’s roughly until the tail end of 2024. Seeing that UOP is an established university, MSN programs are lucrative, and it has other health professional programs, and location near the Bay Area, I would say they have great financial incentive to get accredited properly and fast. I think one also good factor is that there is a previous cohort which provides existing data to provide immediate feedback should they be denied and an easy fix to resubmit, all why we are doing the first year. I am planning to investigate the CCNE accreditation process later this week to see whats the cycle of reapplication (I.e. 6 months or yearly basis) should they be denied based on their program’s for the first cohort. Apologies for any typos long night at work. Don’t care to fix it LOL
  6. Hi Arlo, thanks for sharing! Also, apologies, but I will not be sharing my stats. A fundamental value I have is that each person is more than a GPA, and it is important to assess each person holistically and what they individually bring to the cohort, patient care, and the nursing field as a whole. I will share that I did complete a bachelor's in a totally different discipline years ago, have healthcare and research experience, and have taken all science prerequisites for the first time thereafter, receiving grades with an upper GPA average.
  7. Nope haven't heard back either. Not to be negative, but not looking good. Usually, the specific school reaches out for acceptances. And the general grad school admissions for the university send out rejections, which take longer. Also, just FYI - I'm not sure if this is how UOP operates but it's a pattern I have seen elsewhere.
  8. Okay, thanks for sharing. It looks like last cycle they were getting back to admitted people really quick and within 1-2 weeks. Not sure if that applies to early admission applications this cycle though.
