Thanks! I applied the day it opened (6/16) first thing in the morning (I would recommend for any residency app since they are so competitive). I applied to about 5 positions. Two days later I got an email that the hiring team was reviewing 3 of my applications, all sent separately. I got an email (7/7) to sign-up for interview slots for the following week. I interviewed that Monday (7/14) and recieved my offer the next Friday (7/25). They gave me a week to accept or decline the offer. The interview was a 30 minute virtual panel. The day and night unit manger, L&D triage manager, and the unit educator that oversees the nurse residnecy interviewed me. They all asked about 2-3 questions each. I got basic questions like tell me about yourself, why L&D, and why parkland. At least for my interview they asked me 3 negative questions about myself but did not ask anything positive that would allow me to brag on myself. So be ready to make the mistake or disagreement questions show that you'd be a good candidate. Good Luck! Just be prepared and personable! I got flustered and stumbled on one question which I thought lost me the postion but it still worked out!

Has anyone got an offer? I interviewed last week for L&D but I forgot to ask the timing of when they would make offers.

I just got an email rejection for NICU. It said that the position has already been filled.

Actually they had a lot of acute care and womens services openings but they are gone now. I guess they hit their max applicants?

Has anyone had a video assessment? I had the phone screen and the next day I got an email that said "We have successfully received your video assessment! ". I never recieved an email about one or did a video assessment. I emailed back but I have not recieved a response.

I found them! you have to create an account under previous applicants. Once you are logged in there is a new job search you can put "RN Residency into"!

I was at Tx childrens on acute care floor and got $32.50. ik recently I heard new residency people say they started at $30

I would express how much you care for the infant population. It also helps to recognize that as a NICU nurse you are also being a support for the parents going throught that difficult time. Just have confidence that you got this!!

I haven't heard back either. I interviewed with acute care on 09/20. I am hoping tomorrow they will be making calls!

I haven't heard anyone mention applying for HCA hospitals, are they bad? I'm not in Houston so I don't know anything about them is there something I should know about HCA?

They just introduced each unit with information slides, very similar to MH pre match day. I took a picture of a few of the slides so I will attach them here for you!
