  1. Hi DrCovid, Are you referring to AI, like suki? I'm suspicious of its effective translation into practice, too. I do love my dictation software! ?
  2. In case others find it helpful: Heard back from a couple of companies. 1. M Modal. They are about $180 initial cost then $80/mo. can use on multiple devices, but not on phone yet. 2. nvoq voice: $250 intitial. annual $630. 3. webchart md: "15 cents per transcribed line... except traditional phone dictation, which is 6 cents per minute for a locally-based phone number." I'm intrigued by https://www.suki.ai/ but although the idea of a I charting seems great, I am worried that it might not translate into practice. Also, a representative of one of these companies kindly shared mic recommendations Handheld: http://abnvoiceage.com/speechmike-handheld-microphone/ Headset: http://abnvoiceage.com/sayit-headset-microphone/ Desk mic: https://www.bluemic.com/en-us/products/yeti-nano/
  3. Hello fellow nurses, NPs and typists! Could anyone recommend an affordable speech to text software? (HIPAA compliant, of course). My employer does not pay for it, so, I have to be conscientious of cost. At my last job I used M Modal, it was okay. I currently trying Fusion Narrate, however, I am not crazy about it so far. I know that the "golden child" of dictation is "dragon one", however, they are on pricey side: Over $500 as a one time fee and then about $100 a month. If there is something decent on the market that is more affordable I would like to try that. Thank you all so much in advance!
