  1. I currently work as a Hybrid RN Case Manager for a Pediatric Home Health company. My company is incredible, and I am well supported and appreciated. I have a history of getting bored in a position, or being burnt out on night shift. I started as a new grad in Peds Med Surge, got bored and moved to Peds ED, bad experience there and left for Peds Private Duty, moved states and went back to bedside, Worked Peds med surge again, couldn't hack it working night shift so here we are at Peds HH Case Management. My original dream was always Peds ICU or Float Pool, but there were waitlists etc. I decided to apply to a Peds Critical Care float pool day shift position and got an interview. I love my current job, but all the driving, being on call, not any opportunity for advancement that allows direct patient care and not completing any skills outside of some simple PO med admin is the extent of what I do. I miss being hands on, having actual Peds patients, etc. I worry I will lose my skills and when I am ready to advance or want to move on I won't have a good shot since I will be away from bedside for longer than a few years. I am at a loss as to what to do. My current job also has not so awesome benefits, and tuition reimbursement and fertility benefits with a bedside position sounds really nice. I'll feel like a total fool if I go back to bedside and miss this current position, but I'm soooooo bored. I feel like I am always sabotaging myself in search of the perfect position with a good mix of work life balance and hands on care with the population I adore. Help?
