No I haven't done it or gotten an email yet. It did say they will send an email and to look out for it, so I'm assuming I will get it this coming week.

Aw I’m sorry u still haven’t heard back but as annoyed as I was to hear it people kept telling me if they haven’t said no yet it’s still a yes ?. I think I heard back first because I’m a UIW student. I know u are freaking out still cause I was but let’s hope for good new on Monday ?

I ended up not calling here since Kara emailed. The longer this is going on the more I have a bad feeling I did not get in.... I have my first real exam coming up and the anxiety of not knowing if I got in is so bad I cant even concentrate!

I did not get an interview but I did call and was informed that interviews are mostly for transfer applicants sooooo me being UIW already I didn't get one I also asked when we would hear back all I was told was first or second week of September. I swear I am refreshing my email like every 5 mins. Im terrified!

No they didn’t. They said just to keep checking your emails incase an interview is needed.

So I think I had the workshop just cause I go to uiw and im a pre-nursing student there. other than that I wouldn’t know anything cause I’ve been googling everything and there’s nothing! I was trying to find acceptance rates and it’s no where so all I have is the information my advisor told me and from the workshop. Which was basically how to use nursing cas and where to take your TEAS. But like I said they did say that little thing about avg GPA and avg TEAS score

When I went to the application workshop for UIW pre-nursing students they said the average GPA that got in was 3.7! And a 78% on the TEAS. So u have a better shot than me!☺️ I kinda hope I get an interview so my personality can shine and hopefully let them know I’m different than my past mistakes.

It really is a nice campus and so far I have not had a bad professor for like regular classes. I also love the small classes. Fingers crossed we all get a full acceptance not waitlists ?

So I’ve been going to UIW since Spring 2021. My advisor there told me they like UIW students who apply to the UIW nursing school. I’m not sure if that means u get more of a chance tho ?‍♀️. UT is harder to get into. On their admissions website I’ve seen them wanting to accept people with high GPA and high TEAS. I will say there are probably outliers who do get into UT without being like a perfect student. Have u guys been going to uiw?? Also my advisor said based on past people who got into UIW I had a good chance of being an alternate ?. Then later she said I think last year they did accept one person with a 3.0 and 80% TEAS but that person was trying to get in for a while. I’m scared! I’ve been working my butt off this past year. I was pregnant for half the time in school and went back to school with a 6 week old and 7 year old in Spring 2022. And I’ve been trying to make up for my bad GPA from 2016 when I was a irresponsible teen mom. Also not sure if any of u are vets like me but UIW likes vets so that might be an added chance to get in.

Me too!! But after it has been verified it says to check with your programs on the application status. I don’t want to do that though and be annoying to them haha

Same!! all my eggs are in one basket. I am taking government classes this fall just in case I don't get in the first time, so then come next cycle I can apply to UIW again and UT health too. But just hope we get into UIW the first time!! I think we won't hear back until September which really sucks

When I went back to school after 5 years my GPA was 2.20 but after a year in school I brought it up to a cumulative 3.06. My UIW GPA is a 3.94 though I think with a 2.95 science GPA. I have not gotten lower than an A- for the entire year. I also got a 74.7 on my TEAS. I bought the study TEAS book and was getting 80% or above on the sections in the practice test but I guess TEAS anxiety got to me. I was able to write a statement to uiw about my bad grades I’m not sure if they will consider the statement though….

Anyone applying to UIW for Spring 2023? Deadline is in 10 days and I am freaking out. I submitted my application super early. I hope I get in but probably compared to other people I am not the strongest candidate. I have done so much growth though. I have made a complete 180 and I hope they can see how hard I have been working. Anyone else feeling my pain?
