    Im located in Illinois. I went through a private LPN program back in 2016. I was able to pass my exit exam and graduate. All I had to do was take the boards but life got in the way and never did. Fast forward to today and I'm rethinking going back to the nursing field. I looked up the school/program I attended and it looks like they shut down. Just wondering if there is any way to take the boards without going back to another program? I read Illinois has a maximum of 3 years before your chance to take it expires. I also read of people going to another state to get their license that doesn't have an expiration on taking their NCLEX boards and I assume just retake the boards in illinois. Not sure if any of it is true but if anyone has some advice or direction for me to take I'm all ears. I know I may be SOL so I am also looking into just biting the bullet and enrolling into another lpn or even RN/BSN program Thanks in advance
