  1. Hello everyone! I’m hoping someone can give me some clarification on manual BP. I’ve had the chance to be in 2 different nursing schools (both only first semester so far) and I’m getting different answers as to what the diastolic BP “sound” is. At my previous school, I was taught the number is when you hear silence (this was in all the textbooks there as well). At my current school, we’re being taught the number is when you hear the very last sound (although in their textbook it also says that it’s supposed to be when you hear silence?? I asked the professor about this and they said disregard that). So I’m pretty discombobulated and I’m hoping to get this figured out before I continue the rest of my education, thank you!
