Hello everyone,
I am in a traditional BSN program at a local university in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I failed my last course - Critical Care. I had some personal issues going on my during my last semester that caused me not to be as focused as I should have been. The critical care course is only offered once a year during the Spring semester. As you all can imagine, it's been devastating to have to wait yet another year! I had plans to quickly take my NCLEX, get a job, and move away from my toxic/abusive family! I have been a nurse tech for nearly 5 years now and I really need more income this Summer to get my own place and be stable until I can get my RN license. I am currently making $17.25. With that being said, I still really want to be a nurse regardless of my setbacks, but testing for my LPN seems to be my only option for more income and experience until I can retake the critical care course next Spring.
Does anyone have any advice, suggestions, or recommendations on what I should do? Thanks in advance!
