Hi, I’m so sorry that happened to you. I know what you are feeling. I was able to take the NCLEX-PN after failing my Critical Care course. As long as you have 1 full year of RN education, you can take the NCLEX-PN. Go to the board of nursing and begin your application. You will need to select the “equivalent education PN ” option. You’ll need to contact your school and let them know that you plan to take the NCLEX-PN and you will need them to send your transcript to the board of nursing. After that, just follow the instruction and pay the Fees. The process took about a month. I passed the NCLEX-PN in 90 questions and working as an PN until I retake my Critical Care course in the Spring. Good luck.

Hello everyone, I am in a traditional BSN program at a local university in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I failed my last course - Critical Care. I had some personal issues going on my during my last semester that caused me not to be as focused as I should have been. The critical care course is only offered once a year during the Spring semester. As you all can imagine, it's been devastating to have to wait yet another year! I had plans to quickly take my NCLEX, get a job, and move away from my toxic/abusive family! I have been a nurse tech for nearly 5 years now and I really need more income this Summer to get my own place and be stable until I can get my RN license. I am currently making $17.25. With that being said, I still really want to be a nurse regardless of my setbacks, but testing for my LPN seems to be my only option for more income and experience until I can retake the critical care course next Spring. Does anyone have any advice, suggestions, or recommendations on what I should do? Thanks in advance!
