  1. I don't know about where you are from, but in northern IL an LVN has a hard time getting a job, unless you want to work at a nursing home. Not to mention $5 to $10 less an hour.
  2. Like someone posted earlier, you might not be able to. HIPPA is taken very seriously and they may not let you have patient information. First off, do you know ANYONE that works in healthcare. If they have any position they may be able to get a foot in. If you don't, speak with a nursing councilor at a local college, they may be able to give you a contact at a hospital, clinic, or nursing home. If that doesn't help try HR. Tell them what is going on. They are not going to think you are a fool for asking.
  3. Go to the four year program. I will be graduationg from and ADN program this May and I regret not going to a BSN program. I intend to bridge over for the BSN but it will end up adding more time to get the degree. Granted there are benefits to the ADN, mainly that you can work as an RN after two years of school and as you work on the BSN. However, our ADN program is 2 solid years with at least a year of prereqs. So I have already invested 3 years for an associates degree. Go for the BSN if you can. You won't regret it
