  1. All I needed to pass the final and ultimately the class was a 69 I made a 66. My lowest grade this semester was a 74. Our final was heavily weighted because we were having very few exams due to a Kaplan review the school paid for and demanded we take Kaplan tests that did not go towards a grade. My GPA only plummeted after the final. I had a few struggles in the middle of nursing school but after the proper medicine and diagnosis I improved and did not struggle til my medicine ran out and my doctor did not call in the refill. The entire week before and the day of test I was so nervous and anxious I couldn’t even think straight I was so not focused because of my adhd.
  2. My GPA is 1.9 after my exam it dropped it significantly. I have looked for a readmission policy everywhere on their site there is none. No feedback was given for the missed questions. My advisor who is located at another school (it was a dual cohort 1st year at one school then 2nd year students had to commute an hour and a half away to finish the program)contacted the professor to see what my previous test grades were and she was told it was none of her business. Between school and clinicals I only worked part time I saved for nine years to be able to focus all my time to nursing school.
  3. I just failed my final exam in my last semester of nursing school. What if my school doesn’t have a specific readmission policy only an initial acceptance policy? Like most nursing students, the last semester was extremely difficult with lots of unknown certainties. I did not even find our what my transfer to practice was until a month and a half before I was set to graduate. My GPA was suffering with Kaplan, regular testing, studying and all of my clinicals only available on the weekends which is when I needed to study. I was out of my Adderall medication the day I took my exam and only failed it by three points my doctor was out of town and did not respond to my request for a refill. After my failed exam, I reached out to my professor and Dean of nursing who both told me that it was a shame I did not have a physician who responded. I then reached out to my advisor who called the Dean of Nursing in reference to the fact I had ADHD and was out of my medicine and the Dean of nursing said that had I told my professor that I was out of medication and didn’t feel comfortable taking it without it they would have rescheduled. Finding that out after the fact is soul crushing. Does anyone have any advise for me? They said I can take the class again in nine months but my GPA has to be a 2.8 but with no policy on readmission requirements where do they get that GPA score? Can I take any general education classes to up my GPA? Or something I’ve already taken? I filed an appeal based on the fact I was out of medication and that that I was not aware of the option to reschedule because I was out but it’s highly unlikely to win it.
