  1. I will be mostly likely be giving up my seat for FNP with Columbia and going with another program! Good luck to you all here! : )
  2. Hey guys! I will be giving up my spot for the JHU program, as well as the 75k scholarship I was offered, so I hope that this opportunity will go towards someone else that may be in need! Good luck to you all : )
  3. from which email address did it come from, by chance? I have not received any email at all regarding the scholarship, so I am trying to check my spam folder in case.
  4. I can only speak as someone who was accepted to the MDE portion, but I have not seen any financial information included in my initial acceptance letter. I was under the impression that they would reach back out to us in 10-15 business days as stated in the acceptance letter, so I have been just waiting. I will also be attending the financial session next week as well!
  5. yes, mine was included in my acceptance letter !
  6. oh! I must have completely skimmed over that part because I was so excited about my acceptance, thank you guys for notifying me!
  7. I was counting on the community scholarship (tough shot, of course!), and although I did receive some scholarship amount from Yale, I am worried about covering the remaining cost of the tuition and living. certainly something to think about!
  8. got into FNP !
  9. congratulations! so odd that they didn't send an email out for it though!
  10. hopefully everything will be sent out by the end of today, all I see on my portal is just the update I had from my interview and everything else is gone. fingers crossed, everyone!
  11. nothing on my end either..
  12. not all hope is lost, if not today, it may be tomorrow or the day after!
  13. somehow I'm more at ease, but I think it's because I've already heard back from two other programs that I've applied to! of course, I think I'll be sitting on edge once I receive an email about any updates in the portal! fingers crossed everyone and I hope you will all receive the results you want!!
  14. I am also waiting on a decision from yale! columbia released their decisions early this year, so I found out about my acceptance, so as of now, I have acceptances from columbia and jhu... and now I am just waiting on yale. unfortunately, when I was on a call with an admissions officer a week ago or so, it seems that there was no option but to pay the $500 to reserve our spot for jhu by the feb 31 deadline : (
  15. I am not sure if I am answering this correctly, but assuming that you were asking about the JHU program— and in that case, yes, the JHU direct entry MSN program is the one that I received a scholarship amount for.
  16. I am also hoping for some financial assistance from Yale. Johns Hopkins has offered me a generous amount for their program, so if I do get accepted at Yale but without much financial assistance, I'm thinking that I may have to turn down the offer....
  17. Well put, @allcare2allppl! I also mentioned this problem to my interviewer when I had my interview about a week ago. I also remember that when I attended an information session, I was told that Yale is not a perfect institution and they are continuing to learn and grow, and also are trying to learn from their body of students as well through feedback, etc. I mentioned that one of the reasons I was drawn to Yale was through this aspect, because it showed me that they were trying to correct the wrong and are attempting to make an effort into a better and progressive environment. As a BIPOC student myself, I wanted to contribute into this efforts into making YSN into a more diverse and safe environment for every student. In any case, I hope everyone has been doing well! Just a few more weeks-ish left until decisions, I hope!
  18. oh! I thought this was just for one year, isn't the program more than one year? I may be mixing it up with another program, but I had the impression that 75k was for the first 3 semesters out of the 5?
  19. congrats!! I'll be coming from NJ : ) Does anyone have any idea on the total tuition for the program? I did receive a scholarship, but I am trying to figure how much it will cover for the total tuition for this program.
  20. So happy for you! I am just waiting on two other schools, but it is incredibly tempting to just accept the offer from jhu!
  21. Hello, I was not aware that this existed until today!! I just got my acceptance letter today, definitely was not expecting to see it today— hoping the good energy on everyone else as well!
  22. Thank you for the insightful information. Diversity is important to me, specifically as a POC and someone who belongs in the LGBTQIA+ community. I addressed these concerns and asked questions regarding this aspect during the interview, and interviewer had informed me that YSN's diversity was rapidly expanding- although the institution is far from perfect itself. I think it's important to have these conversations, and thank you for providing us with the information with a more in-depth and first-hand experience from people who are already there. I know that there were some issues concerning race and diversity, especially during 2020, but I was not aware of the internal conflicts that YSN was facing, so I appreciate the transparency.
  23. I believe they said the first week of February if I remember correctly. I am not sure about the specific date itself, but it should be during that first week!
  24. @mmCA so glad to hear that your interview seemed to go well!! now it’s just the waiting game.. Just like everyone else has said, to everyone who has yet to do their interview- just be yourself, be enthusiastic about your specialty and really show the interviewer who you are as a person! I emphasized to my interviewer about my specific goals and passions as well, and it went very well. My interviewer gave me his email address for any questions I may have in the future, and I am wondering if I should send him a thank you email? I’ve seen some people do so in the past, so I am thinking to do it as well!
