  1. Thank you for responding. They are definitely different, I do enjoy the busy environment and always learning. I am concerned about getting in a routine on mother baby and possibly becoming bored like I did on med surg also don’t want to lose my skills.
  2. I have a year experience in nursing in med surg. I am having trouble deciding which specialty to go into. I have always wanted L&D or the ED and I have ended up being offered mother baby and the ED. Mother Baby is a footing towards L&D so I am torn which way I should go. If any thoughts or insight in both would be helpful. What the pros and cons would be..
  3. I have been offered two jobs I really wanted. Now I am torn which way to go, ER or Postpartum nursing? I have been a nurse for a year now on a med-surg floor and felt it was time to move to where I wanted to be. I always wanted to do L&D, I got into postpartum and can always cross train. However I get bored quickly and am concerned that’s what will happen if I go with postpartum. The ER I know I will love the challenge and always being something new. Just wanted to get some thoughts, insight from anyone who has done both.
