  1. I’m glad to hear the access codes aren’t as often after the first semester ? I do not have the money to blow almost $1k on books each semester especially since I have to stop working once classes start. And that makes me feel a lot better knowing UTMB truly is good about wanting us all to succeed. I’m hopeful to get the hang of it after some time such as you said. Thank you! Also, did you personally feel like going through this program was overwhelming due to the time frames, due dates, lecs/labs/clinicals etc?
  2. YES! PLEASE! Can you tell me if we really have to buy all new books each semester bc of access codes? And roughly how this total cost was? Also, any study tips? I’m one of those that got this far without really having to study and I know that’s not going to work for this. I’m scared bc I don’t know how to study and I need to. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
  3. TEAS: 83 GPA: 3.6 no healthcare experience but in my statement I wrote about indirect experience such as caring for my grandparents and my work involves minor healthcare work but with animals. I personally feel like my statements helped me a lot because it definitely wasn’t my stats considering people have way better and are still waiting.
  4. Hey I wouldn’t stress about it! When I was looking into previous semester forums, it looked like UTMB does their acceptances in waves. I’m thinking maybe 3 waves. So this was the first one, and the next might be in another month or so? Unsure about the timing, but I’m positive there’s more to be sent out especially considering not everyone will always accept the offers. Keep hope up and good luck all of you!
  5. I live in Houston so I plan on just making the commute each day. I don’t have the money to move down there. Congratulations!!
  6. After the extended one. Literally very last minute. I think the day before the due date. I was scared I wasn’t going to be considered because it was so last minute and I got that supplemental application very late. Almost took like 2 weeks I think after I submitted when others said it took a couple days.
  7. AAAHHH CONGRATS! I hope to see you there! ???
  8. GUYS I GOT IN! JUST RECIEVED THE EMAIL!! AAHHHH IM SO EXCITED!!
  9. Yes from what I saw on previous semester forums, they actually do send some out rather quickly. I also hope we all get in. We would all see each other and be in the same cohort and can help each other out! ? I am in the process of applying to TWU which was my first choice, but I’m leaning towards UTMB since it’s just one year straight through so I’d be done faster.
  10. It just makes me feel weird that I still have not gotten it and it’s been almost a week ? y’all are saying y’all got it two days after you submitted the NursingCAS application. IDK I’m hoping I’ll get it here soon then since I got the email from Lauren Homan saying to be on the lookout for it within the next four weeks?? IDK crossing my fingers. If anything and it’s true they extended it again possibly from not many applicants, I’d assume they won’t prevent me from consideration if I’m considered late.
  11. That actually weirdly concerns me more because that’s the same day I submitted mine on NursingCAS and I only just today received an email saying they’ll send the supplemental one soon ? still helpful though so thank you
  12. Thank you for responding so quickly! Yeah I see from other forums that that’s how it works. Applying to UTMB was a last minute decision, hence I did it very late once I heard about the deadline extension. I received an email earlier today from UTMB saying I should receive an email within the next four weeks with the supplemental application. I want to hope since it’s called “supplemental” that it’s okay to be done after the deadline? Especially considering it can take 4 weeks to be received… IDK ? just trying to be calm about it but the more I think about it the more I worry. Thank you though
  13. Hello, I am a bit panicked about the deadline. I know it’s passed, but I finished my application very late (a couple days before July 1st), so I haven’t received the supplemental application yet. Does anyone know if this means I didn’t technically meet the deadline??? I can’t find any specific info about this saying whether just submitting your application on NursingCAS counts as finishing the the deadline or not. This is my first time using it and I didn’t know this would be the case! Totally freaking out here! ?
  14. https://allnurses.com/applications/core/interface/file/attachment.php?id=35424 Hopefully this works? I can’t figure out how to send it since it’s downloaded on my phone. This is the link someone shared on another forum and it worked for me.
  15. Hello all, I noticed there wasn’t a topic yet for the Spring 2023 applicants for Texas Women’s University. Wanted to see how everyone is doing and how you all feel! Personally I am applying for the Houston campus but don’t feel great about my admissions score. My TEAS was an 84 and overall GPA is 3.6 and science 3.4 ? I also plan to apply to UTMB.
  16. Hey guys, I’m applying for Spring 2023 and just finished taking the TEAS. I have the except spreadsheet from previous forums that is supposed to calculate your admissions score, but has anyone noticed it doesn’t seem to use your overall prerequisite GPA? Like for the science GPA it calculates it after I fill everything out, but the overall prerequisite does not automatically fill in. I have an understanding of it (if it’s accurate) from my TWU self service account, but I can type the number in the box and see no change on the calculated admissions score. I can even change it to a 0 and it doesn’t do anything to the admissions score. Is this just me?
  17. Hello all, I am looking into applying for the program for Spring 2023 in Houston after having multiple fails with UTH Cizik. I was curious about a few things. For calculating the GPA, do y’all know if they only use the best grades (example: taking ap1 twice getting a C the first time and A the second, and they only use the A to calculate the GPA?)? Also I have not taken the TEAS yet, only the HESI. Would y’all consider it to be harder? And any tips before I take it? Good websites/materials to study? I had a hard time with the HESI and retook it and don’t want the same issues with the TEAS ? Any help is very much appreciated. Thank y’all!
  18. Does anyone know/have seen someone get accepted with their science GPA meeting the bare minimum 3.0? Just found out that they do calculate the science GPA using ALL your grades even if you retook something so I’m horrified and screwed ??‍♀️ I was taking so many science courses when covid first hit and my professors made the transition the worst and I ended bad in so many of those classes and thought I could retake them and it would be fine but it seems not.
  19. Could you give the Elsevier suppport number that you called? The one I found and called just tells me to email them whenever I choose the options about HESI. Or if you know what is supposed to be the ID ?
  20. Yes I know it states that toh can only take it twice under their own code, but it doesn’t not specifically state that they only allow two tries in total. I’ve even called and confirmed that with someone from the stiffens affairs office. I was referred to speak to them from the registrars because she thought that was the case as well, but the woman I spoke to told me that although it’s uncommon for people to take it more than twice, they do accept it more than twice. I have also seen in an older forum on here someone talking about the same thing, taking it a third time under a different school code and sending it over. I’m just hoping it was an issue in Elsevier’s end.
  21. I’m so worried about the fact that I’ve taken the HESI three times though ? I didn’t feel comfortable with my first time since my lowest section was anatomy with a 76 so I retook it and it ended up being horrible (they forced me to reschedule the original date I was supposed to take it because did a malfunction on their end, and then the red he filed day I had really bad personal things go on the same day). My second time was lower than my first with overall being 83%. I was super bummed but decided to try a third time using A&M’s code and studied a ton and made a 93 with 100% on anatomy and my lowest section being 86! And now I’m learning they don’t even have it and no one is helping me or able to tell me what the issue is or why they can’t find it and Elsevier says they sent it! ?
  22. Hello all! I know this is late but I am freaking out so hard about all of this. I have been denied twice now, Spring 22 and Summer 22. I took the HESI 3 times, two under UTH code and once under A&M to have it transferred over. I’m freaking out that this won’t allow me to get in. BUT the registrar also can’t find my latest HESI exam! I did really well on it and know that I have zero chance of acceptance without it. im also currently retaking some classes to raise my GPA, but if I’m applying for the fall 2022 (extended till may 1st), do y’all know if these classes would even count? What do I do about sending over most recent transcript? Send now or send after grades are posted (they would be posted after may 1st deadline). I feel so crappy because of taking the HESI 3 times that there’s no way for me to get in
