  1. If it helps anyone, I got accepted into OHSU’s Portland branch. NursingCAS showed my GPA as a 3.88, although I retook the two classes I got B’s in and so my actual transcripts showed a 4.0. I got all A’s in A&P with no retakes. I had about 7 months of official CNA experience in a SNF, and about a two years worth of experience working in an adult care home, but only one year of that was as an official CNA. I was able to use my healthcare experience and experience growing up close to a healthcare environment since my parents had an adult care home for my essays. I had a pretty small amount of volunteer experience working with homeless, maybe 10-20 hours? I can’t quite remember but it wasn’t much. I hope this helps!
  2. I’m bummed to hear that :( Nursing school in the PNW is so incredibly competitive. I did for my email as well, I was offered a spot, but you shouldn’t give up hope! It is still incredible that you are moderately likely. Good luck!
  3. I applied to the portland branch! haven’t gotten a decision yet, I suppose it’ll be a handful more days until we find out. Im still refreshing my email like a maniac though… the wait is sooo hard haha. I hope they sent out rejection letters at the same time so I’m not dying of waiting any more. If you get in, you should post saying so! Fingers crossed for all of us!!
  4. Hi! Any others that have applied to the Portland branch know if they send out rejections at the same time as the acceptance letters? After I submitted my essays, I got an email saying letters would be sent out around the third week of April!
