I can't find any recent feedback on what it is like to work at Atascadero state hospital. I loved my psych rotation in 2nd semester and I have a strong interest in working in mental health but I hear conflicting things. I know ASH is going to be very different then the small mental hospital I did my rotation at. Does anyone have any input? For example, what is the normal day like there?, what should I expect as far as scheduling? The pay seems good, the benefits seem like they may be good. So I'm trying to figure out what the negative is and why they are so urgently hiring right now.

I live in Santa Maria, CA. Maybe that’s why it hasn’t made it my way yet. I was just trying to figure out at what point I should try contacting them.

I still have not received my letter!! I’ve been obsessively checking the mail everyday.
