  1. thanks for the tip angel337. I'll look in that direction.
  2. Hi angel337, Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I was not offered the job. They were looking for bilingual staff it seems (although this wasn't implied in the beginning). Maybe I need to invest in some Rosetta Stone :). cynthiamc
  3. I truly understand. This is a public forum. I haven't reached my 15 post mile marker yet. I will definitely pm you and pshs_2000 when I do.
  4. Did you enjoy it. Can you share your day to day routine. It's sounds like an interesting job.
  5. Hi pshs_2000, I received your pm but unfortunately I can't pm you back because I have not had many post on the forum. I believe I have to have 15. Thanks for your insight and maybe when I hit my 15 post mile marker I'll pm back. :) thanks
  6. Hello, I was wondering if you accepted the job and could shed some insight. Thanks
  7. Nursemates has a nice bag in a small array of colors. You can find it in Nurses Station or go to NursesDirect.com. I have a gray bag and I'm pleased with it although I didn't do much shopping around.
  8. Hi Cookie, I'll try that and see it it helps. Thanks, cynthia
  9. Hi cookie, So far I've been unlucky...I've sent my resume out to several companies specifying Admissions only on PRN basis and am getting no replies.
  10. Does anyone know of any companies hiring RNs in the DFW area (Dallas/Ft.Worth) for Admissions only on a PRN basis? Cynthia
  11. Thank you Pam for the response. Cynthia
  12. Thanks Cookie.....I'm new to homehealth so any advice is greatly appreciated. I'll try more faxing. Cynthia
  13. Thanks Lady T. cynthia
  14. hi cookie, thanks for the reply. I'm new to home health and I'm having a hard time adjusting. I've worked mostly in hospitals and the problem I'm finding is when you call a physician regarding the patient or for an order I'm generally left communicating with a Medical assistant or office manager. In the hospital we don't accept orders from medical assistants or office managers. The physicians generally don't have a nurse in their office. It's just very frustrating.... and if you happen to luck out and speak to a physician it's generally hours after you left the home and your driving down the interstate. If there was a case manager for the patient than maybe I could communicate to her/him what I'm wanting for the pt. and she could communicate this to the MD. I just think this would be easier instead of me receiving a return call while I'm driving down the highway or in someone elses home. cynthia
  15. Does anyone know of any home health companies that have case managers in the office rather than utilizing their field nurses as case managers. I live in the Dallas area. Thanks
