  1. Actually don't quote me on that LOL because she was talking kind of fast on the phone. I just remember she said something about official offers by Monday, May 9, but I'm not sure if that was just specific to the unit I applied for.
  2. I just got a call with an offer from Duque (I interviewed with them on Tuesday last week)! The HR person I talked to said official offers still coming on Monday! Hoping for good news for everyone else ❤️
  3. I did my senior preceptorship on a peds unit and also had a separate internship working on a peds unit! However, someone I know who had zero pediatric experience (besides their pediatric clinical in nursing school) got into the new grad program in the previous cohort.
  4. I'm not sure if this answers your question (and IDK if this is unit specific), but I remember in my interview they said the new grad shift schedule changes a lot, especially the first few months! I think it's basically like we're variable? They also want you to see everything/do everything, so they won't hesitate to change your shift/schedule around in order for you to do those things.
  5. I am, but I'm taking it as a sign that I probably didn't match with what they wanted after taking that personality test survey thing they sent out lmao since no signs of interviews are coming my way!
  6. Definitely don't be discouraged!! My friend's PICU interview was super short too compared to my interviews in the number of questions they asked her. My interviews were also all supposed to be 45 minutes long. During mine, they asked around 10-12 questions (I was so frazzled and this is why I can't even give specificity in the questions they asked me bc I honestly already forgot LOL) and I would say I answered them all in 1-3 minutes. I also asked 2 questions for them in the end! So it definitely adds up. Wishing only good news for all of us! What's meant to be is already yours ?
  7. I had interviews with 2 different units and each asked completely different things! One asked simple situational questions (priority, possible conflict) and the other asked more general behavioral questions (tell us a time..., strengths). My interviews were both around ~40 minutes, and they actually asked a lot of questions within that time frame. My best advice is to be prepared with really great clinical stories that show who you are as a nurse. I was super nervous too and I honestly don't think I even did that well myself haha, but I just tried my best to show my personality! Remind yourself to relax and breathe during your interview! Good luck, you got this! ?
  8. I think they're definitely still in the process of sending second interviews for all of the other units throughout the next few days. Each unit seems to be taking up the whole day to interview people, so I think they're spreading out each unit interview for a different day of the week. I hope you hear back soon ?
  9. I'm not sure if all second interviews are in person, but I got an email this afternoon for an in-person interview with Duque. It might depend on the unit, sorry I can't help much!
  10. Congratulations!! I was wondering if you were an internal or external applicant so I know if I should just cut my losses right now and move on LOL
  11. I haven't heard anything from 6E ? I might ask when they'll reach out because I was invited to interview for another unit and I'm not from the area. So I would prefer to pack all my traveling days together LOL! I'll update you if I hear anything!
  12. Congrats to everyone who got an interview so far! For those who got an email for peds, were any of you internal or did clinical at UCLA Health?
