I graduated from nursing school in NYC last year, right when no one was hiring new nurses due to covid, but I was able to get a non clinical job as a home visiting nurse doing distance visits. I am now looking to work in a hospital, and my dream is nicu or l&d here in NYC. Does anyone have any advice or insight? I got to the second interview with an NYP nicu position, but Workday is showing me as no longer under consideration. So I am guessing I didn't make it. Any advice anyone can offer on increasing my odds of getting a hospital position, preferably in either the nicu or l&d units would be so appreciated. Thanks all!

Hi all, I had my second interview for an NYP job that I am so excited about. The second interview was a week after the first, they sent me the benefits packet and asked for my references. Tomorrow it will be a week since that second interview, and I looked on Workday, and saw that the job is listed as 'no longer under consideration.' I know it's not likely, but any chance this is a glitch?! I emailed the recruiter to check in and see, so hopefully I'll hear back soon but in the meantime I'm feeling so bummed about this.
