I’m so sorry to hear y’all didn’t get in, but please don’t give up. Maybe take a break for a while, and try again next semester. If you can afford to, maybe try retaking the TEAS exam, or retaking a class if you think it’ll bump your GPA some more. I didn’t apply this semester like I wanted to bc I just wasn’t ready yet, but the thing is, is that it’s not a race either. I get not everyone has the flexibility in there life to wait around, but it’ll be worth it in the end if you can, because you have the rest of your life to become an RN. And if you can, try applying to community colleges or some of the state university programs too. Some of them look at more than just a “point system”, they also look at your experience and extracurricular activities, etc. If you get rejected, 4 times, just keep trying! Continue on with your life, but also keep trying to achieve this goal. I didn’t mean for this to be a corny motivational speech, but it’s just the truth. Don’t give up!

I ended up deciding to wait until the Spring to apply, because I’m nowhere near ready to take the TEAS exam. I heard that you can only apply 6 times. I mean 6 times is a lot but you never know so I just want to make sure I get the most points I can possibly get before applying. That way I can get a decent score on the exam and take the rest of the 7 classes. Also I need an opinion. Do y’all think I should wait to take micro until I’m actually in the program? That way I don’t have to worry about it bringing my GPA down and decreasing my chances of getting in? Or if I don’t get in on my first try, I could take it at a community college and transfer the credit. But because of their policy, I’d have to withdraw from the college and then reapply once I finish the class.

Hi! I’m applying for the fall, but I don’t have high hopes of getting in this fall tbh. I’m at my first semester at Goodwin so I only have 4 points for classes so far, and my GPA is around 3.3. I also have an associate’s which gives me an extra 2 points but not sure if it’ll be enough to get in for the fall. I still haven’t taken the TEAS exam yet either. So, so far I have about 8 points without taking the exam yet. I’ve seen people saying that the cut off in previous semesters have been 15-16 point range so I’ve got a ways to go hahaha
