  1. congrats! what units did you go for? also is your interview going to be in person or online? ?
  2. I think they send out those emails alphabetically (based on last cohort). Also just because you get that email doesn't mean you'll get an interview.
  3. Hi everyone, I withdrew my acceptance from the program! I hope this allows someone on the waitlist a chance to get in! Best of luck everyone!
  4. Hi Hi! My undergrad was Health Science, my undergrad GPA was not the best (3.5 I think) but I feel like I had a very strong personal statement. They really cared about WHY I wanted to do this. What barriers I overcame and the experience I had in helping others. If you plan to reapply next term feel free to DM and I can give you more input on my end if that helps ?
  5. I live in LA as well! But for me it's more of who will help financially more! Im not too aware of JHUs program but a full tuition scholarship is beyond AMAZING! No student loans when you graduate is what I dream for LOL!
  6. Hi y'all! I got my acceptance letter at 9:30AM! I am torn between UCLA and APU. One is a straight entry program to NP and the other isn't. However I feel like UCLA offers more financial assistance. Is anyone else between schools?
  7. it leads to an NP ? rumor has it they wanna make it a pathway to your DNP which is amazing!
  8. You don't have to apply for EAO. I guess this is just early interviews but they still conduct "normal" interviews after. (I'm assuming the second week of Feb and on.) I am going to my EAO interview this Thursday.
  9. Also I don't have the perfect GPA! I have a 3.5 in Prereqs and 3.4 in undergrad (BS in Health Science). I am a first gen Latinx student. I worked for a nonprofit that focused on health promotion for K-12 students (1year) followed by becoming a Clinical Research Coordinator at a FQCH studying Covid antibodies (1year), and finally my current job (1year) as a HIV Prevention Specialist. I feel like schools look more for experience and what you learned from it.
  10. don't give up yet! the email they sent me said they will continue to host EOA interviews till Feb! ?
  11. Hi everyone! I got an EAO interview invite today at 5PM! Im so nervous, the email says it's an 8hour thing!?? Has anyone done it already?
  12. Thank you! My non-science GPA was 3.57 and my science GPA was 3.47. I have a BS in Health Science. Worked for a non-profit right after college for 1 year as a program coordinator (promoted physical activity and nutrition to K-12). I then was a Clinical Research Coordinator for another year where we studied Covid-19 antibodies. Followed by my current job as an HIV Prevention Specialist at a FQHC. I had a FEW hours of volunteering at a hospital but I tried to focus my experience on helping the community (rather than just patients)
  13. Hi everyone! I had applied for Spring 2023 but was given the option to be waitlisted for SP23 or accept Summer 2023! Saying that I underwent the interview process already! If anyone would like tips feel free to email me! lugoberen @ gmail. ALSO! I applied to the Inland Empire but am from LA! Not sure if to commute or get a place over there. I didn't have a super amazing GPA but I can say that experience is what matters most (what you learned from it). So even if you just have 1 thing, make sure you're able to use that to your full benefit.
  14. Hi yall! I didn't see a thread for Summer 2023, so I decided to make one! Looking forward to connecting with you all. PS: If accepted is anyone moving towards campus?
