OHSU BSN, Fall 2021
For my nursing friends at the Ashland campus: I realize this is an old thread and you guys may not see this but I am hoping to reach a current student at the OHSU Ashland campus! I was accepted this year at the Ashland campus and I am planning on visiting campus this week to get a feel for it and I would love to speak to some current nursing students if that is possible. I have tried contacting my program coordinator from the email I received in the acceptance letter to assist me in setting something up, but I have not received a response and I think they are very busy right now. Would any current students be willing to talk to me possibly or be on campus later this and be willing to show me around? I realize I am a complete stranger from the internet haha, so you can message me privately and we can chat there! Thanks in advance ?

Do any of you possibly know of any current students that I could speak to and hopefully meet up with later this week? Or do you have any advice on who to contact to set up meetings with current students and get a tour of the nursing corner at the OHSU Ashland campus? Any guidance would be beyond helpful! Thanks in advance ?

Hi Boba22. So sorry for the late response! Something I did to ease my anxiety before the interview was I visualized it beforehand-- I pictured myself in the interview being calm and collected. I also tried not to think of it as an interview but more so as a conversation with a professor so that I didn't feel so stressed but also maintained professionalism. Take a deep breath, show you passion for nursing, and be yourself. You totally got this, I believe in you!

College of the Canyons Fall 2022 Applicants
By the way, LVN-RN notifications were sent today but I called and asked about the regular RN program and they said notifications will be sent out either tomorrow or Thursday or maybe Friday

Congrats on your invite! I would recommend taking the practice assessment without studying to see where you need to focus your studies. Then from there you can see where you need improvement! I used the mometrix book and notes from my A&P classes to review science and Brandon Craft to review math. A couple days before your exam I would take the second practice assessment to see areas/topics where you can still improve. Don’t worry if your practice assessment score is low. I got a 72% on the practice assessment initially and then 90% on the practice assessment after studying for a little while and then a 97% on my actual TEAS exam so definitely keep positive even if your practice scores are lower than you’d like them to be

Hi Kitty-22 and sarawalecki, congrats to you guys too on receiving an interview invite, fingers crossed for all of us! ? I was wondering if you guys have any advice for preparing for the interviews? (I've gathered you've been through this process before) I haven't done an interview for nursing schools before and am so stressed about if I am preparing well enough or not!
