CNA license for Nursing Students
Hello, I've finished fundamental nursing and interested in applying for CNA certification in Northern California. I went through the CPDH website and Credentia.com but haven't figured out the correct process. Here is what I am assuming: Send official transcripts, the form 283E, and Live Scan to CPDH then get the form CPDH 932 in order to apply for the testing at Credentia. I'm not very sure how it work. Thank you!

Your question makes me wonder if I purchaseda right one. I have only purchased the one that on the ATI bundle which is over a 1000$ and I thought it was all what we need. And I didn't see 2 options as you said.

Hi guys, I have a question regarding the ICCP program. I was admitted to this program Fall 2022 but now it is the time to register for classes. All people in our group don't know what class to add. I believe it will be Nurs 100we for the 1st semester but they all hybrid or online synchronous. So I am afraid if I register right now it might conflict with schedule at evc. I would like to know your advice. Thank you and have a great day!

You might correct but the higher scores can get into the final cohort instead of the alternative list because alternative list does not get a chance to apply for iccp.

Hi Ryan, everyone is different but I know the cutting point this year around 67 or 68 points. Try to take as many classes that have bonus points as possible such as physiology and pharmacology besides other ge class to bring your points up. High points also have more chance of getting iccp program. Best luck!

It is confusing for me when I look at the schedule for Spring 2021 it was 5 days a week. But from the meeting, my understanding is 3 days per week. Lecture on Tuesday, and skill lab on Wednesday and Thursday for the first 3 weeks. After that skill lab days will be replaced by clinical attendance. I'm still not very sure about it.

I got into the wait list but I decided to move forward with different program. Congratulations to everyone who got in.

I still don’t know why they limit this program. I meant it is an online course, the space is unlimited, they should give this opportunity for everyone, then up to them if they feel like they want to take it or not.

I'm not very sure. I was placed into the Fall cohort. I posted a message a week ago saying that I wasn't accepted into the iccp program, but it was a mistake. I actually got into this program.

Thank you for the information. I also wanted to finish the BSN as soon as I can too.

If any of you have a chance to look at the ICCP cost breakdown yet? I just had a look at the cost for this program. It says the cost at SJSU is $2,720 per semester for 1-6 units. Does it mean even if I take 3 units for the first semester, I will still have to pay 2,720$? I'm crying when thinking about the tuition fee. If I do the RN to BSN after finishing the ADN at Evergreen, it would cost less, is that correct?

I got the email today. I was not selected.

SJSU (TVFSON) Fall 2022
Thank you so much for your feedback. I just check email again, and the deadline to enroll and pay fee is May 1. At that time, I will already know if I get accepted into the nursing or not. Thank you again and good luck to you!

SJSU (TVFSON) Fall 2022
Hi guys, I got a message saying that I was accepted into the SJSU too. However, I don't think I will be accepted into the nursing program since my TEAS score is not good enough. In the email that (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) sent out earlier, the competitive TEAS score this year is 91%. I was wondering that should I continue my application (which means I have to pay $250 fee and have my transcripts send to them? or I should withdraw it? I also was accepted into nursing program at Evergreen, and it has an integrated program RN-BSN with SJSU. My concern is if I withdraw my application at SJSU right now, will it impact my RN-BSN later if I get accepted into this program?

Hi scvmst, I was wondering if you will be willing to give feedback for my mine? I just got covid and need to stay home for the rest of this week. I won't see any my coworkers to get their feedbacks before the application deadline. If you don't have time, don't worry please.

I have the same question too. I can't think of any reason they don't give spots for all of us because it's just online courses.
-
EVC Nursing 2022
Yeah, it says this. And I think it makes sense too because the BSN at SJSU doesn’t require GE completion. But we should complete before graduation. You should contact them to get one for yourself. Option #1: If you are an upper division transfer applicant pursuing 1st bachelor's degree in the ICCP program, you must: Have completed a minimum of 60 semesters [or 90 quarter units] of CSU transferable units Completed the 4-Basic GE's [aka: Golden 4GEs for the CSU] - Oral Communication [CSU A1], Written Communications [CSU A2], Critical Thinking [CSU A3, and Math Concepts [CSU before] Have a 2.0 GPA to be CSU eligible and a 2.75 overall transferable GPA to be eligible for the ICCP program [RN-BSN] Recommend to complete CSU Core GE or be CSU GE fully certified [CSU GE certified or CSU IGETC GE certified] and completed PE and American Institution requirements too.

I’m so sorry about that Leenny, I think they should give all alternates this chance to be fair to everyone.
-
EVC Nursing 2022
I think you still can apply because GE completion is just a recommendation. You can take online classes at Foothill or De Anza this Spring. I’m taking a drawing class at Foothill now. It is really fun.

Did any of you apply for the ICCP yet? I am working on the my application, trying to answer some long questions but writing is not my thing, so I'm not very confident to submit my application yet.
