Cerritos College Fall 2022
Sorry, I can't remember what my points total was, but there were two ways to get into the program; one way was based on points, and the other was based on a random drawing. I spent a lot of time stressing about points. My best advice is to get every possible point available by completing additional classes, obtaining a CNA license, getting hours of work experience, taking the TEAS before you apply to nursing programs, and apply to as many nursing schools as you can. Best wishes on your nursing journey!

What nursing school did you decide on?

Cerritos College Fall 2022
Correct, no need to RSVP for TEAS if you have already taken it and passed with satisfactory score; however, I would double check on the recency requirements. I took the TEAS back in February, so should be good to go.

Thank you! I’m so happy! Trying not to cry. I’m at work right now. Good luck to you, no matter what, never give up!

I was selected for Spring 2023! ????

Cerritos College Fall 2022
I don’t want to be too critical of the process because changing dates seems to be the modus operandi for a lot of nursing schools. Having said that, I’m disappointed that they couldn’t deliver the news sooner. I’ve been checking the website, my email, and this thread daily since Friday. I hope I win the lottery because I definitely don’t have that many points. I finished my AS in Biological Sciences, obtained my CNA, and began working at an assisted living facility after the application deadline. If I’m not selected this time around I’ll be applying everywhere again this fall, ugh, I’m exhausted.

Anyone else think they already informed selected candidates by email, and “letters within the next 3 days” means everyone else should get their rejection letter soon?

Long Beach City College (LBCC) ADN Program Fall 2022
I have not received any emails beyond the first one acknowledging my application. I was told that the email that went out to people who made the first cut also stated that people who did not make the cut would be informed in a separate email that same day…

CSUF Transfer-BSN Fall 2022
Just got the email. As suspected, my points were not high enough. Good luck everyone!

CSUF Transfer-BSN Fall 2022
No update. I believe today was the last day to review transcripts for admission into CSUF. Therefore, all qualified applicants can definitely be reviewed by the nursing department beginning today. I would not be surprised if the nursing department began sending acceptance emails to people by end of this week.

Sounds like we all met the University requirements. Just waiting on a decision. Can't wait to hear if you all got an interview.

CSUF Transfer-BSN Fall 2022
According to the admission records, my transcripts have already been evaluated and sent back to the nursing department for an admission decision. Maybe we will get an email with the official decision by Friday. If not, I think the deadline is March 1st. Either way, we will not be waiting much longer.

I was able to login just now. No status change to report.

CSUF Transfer-BSN Fall 2022
Great advice! After I get my CNA license, will hospitals hire me without experience?

CSUF Transfer-BSN Fall 2022
If there are only 5-10 seats and the traditional point system is used to determine admission, then I have no hope at all. My science GPA is 3.5 and cumulative is 3.88. No second language or medical background; however, I’m currently doing a CNA training program on the weekends so that I can work while waiting on nursing school. Additionally, Chem 3 and Stats 1 are in progress this semester, which in my opinion are among some of the easier classes I’ve taken. I have also applied to a few different ADN programs as well. Fingers crossed that I get accepted into a Fall program.
