Hello, My father started at encompass and is now in the neuro ICU. He said it helped him develop the necessary skills... that being said it was a longer pathway, with him moving specialties to eventually get to ICU. If you start in inpatient psych you could go to the psych ED from there? Depends on what you want to do! Ambulatory and school RN are so different, I work ambulatory now and I can imagine it would be hard to transition back to ICU. hope this helps a little!
