  1. I had 17 points. I have both of you beat. I’m 40… ?
  2. I’m sure it will be very soon!
  3. Must have been the same person who said they still use Nursing CAS. ? I find it hard to believe they sent out letters if none of us has gotten one yet.. Trying to stay positive too..
  4. My guess is that it won’t say it in the subject, but it’ll probably be in the first line or two of the email. If your notifications give you a preview of the email, then it may spoil the surprise!
  5. That’s awesome! I have a couple weeks left of Chemistry (totally envious that you’re finished ?) and Micro, which I’ll probably take next Summer. Also, I’m glad I’m not the only one obsessively checking my email knowing we have to wait until next week…ha
  6. Congrats on your A in Chemistry, and on totally rocking it your past few semesters! These nursing prerequisites, especially the science classes, are hard work. You will no doubt continue that success in nursing school. I hope we’ll be classmates! ?
  7. The last advisor I met with in March mentioned they no longer use Nursing CAS. Nursing CAS is a third party that you send your transcripts, etc in to.
  8. OCCC doesn’t go though Nursing CAS for their applications anymore, so I’m thinking the email is totally unrelated. Good to hear they’re almost done though! ?
  9. I think they have called the nursing department and asked. Not totally sure though.. We are getting so close to the 4 week mark!
  10. You still have a really good chance with 16 points! Has anyone heard how many applications were submitted?
  11. I was wondering if you had submitted your application.. That’s awesome! I’d say you still have a good chance with 16 points. I also applied to UCO and just found out last week that I was accepted! If I get an acceptance letter from OCCC, I’m honestly not sure which program to choose..
  12. I submitted mine this morning! I was able to apply with 17 points. It’s going to be a long 4 to 6 weeks! ha
  13. I am taking the TEAS on the 21st also! If I can get a 79 or above on that, I’ll be applying with 17 points. I took the reading Accuplacer recently, and I thought it was pretty easy. It’s an adaptive test, so the questions can get a little tricky towards the end. Since you got an 81.3 on the TEAS, I think you’ll do great!
  14. I can relate! Only one point for my GPA too thanks to my early college years! ? I think it’s more competitive points-wise now. Seems like 16 and up is the cutoff. Maybe 15. Not sure how competitive it will be this application cycle though..
  15. I wouldn’t think that it matters either! According to the application, they rank applicants based on preference points. Applicants with the same amount of points are then ranked by GPA.
  16. Awesome! That’s good to know! I took the HESI and scored really well, but I’m afraid the TEAS will be more difficult. The HESI I took just had A&P for the science section, and I know the TEAS has chem, bio, etc. sprinkled in there too. Just hoping to get above a 79! Good luck on the HESI! I’m sure you will do really well considering your performance on the TEAS.
  17. I know! I’m taking the TEAS in three weeks and submitting my application after that. I’m already nervous! ?
  18. I'm actually the opposite as far as distance...ha. I'm way closer to OCCC. I already have 60-something credits from UCO, so I figured I should apply there also. I'm leaning towards OCCC though. The course load at UCO definitely looks pretty daunting and I'll also need to work while in school! I like the idea of getting the BSN out of the way, but the RN to BSN seems like it would be a great option and wouldn't take that much longer.
  19. I would think we'd be good with 17+, but it seems like the last few application cycles have been extra competitive. I also applied to UCO. I'd be happy getting accepted into either program!
  20. I plan on applying as well! I'm hoping to have 17 points. I just need an A in the A&P II class I'm currently taking and higher than a 79 on the TEAS. Fingers crossed! I'll have an AS in Diversified Studies after the Spring semester, but not in time for it to count for this application..
