I'm waiting for my interview to be scheduled and I've been studying CCRN stuff and drips. Can you tell me more about how your in person interview is set up? Is it multiple days and in a different state? Any more insight on the format?

Great, I figured as much. Helps to be able to at least have dinner with the family. Were your interviews on zoom last cycle? My recruiter wasn’t sure if they were switching back to the in-person/shadow interview yet.

Peer / professional colleague 3). Post Shadow/Interview Letter from CRNA Faculty (sent internally by the writer)” The interviewer writes a letter which satisfies the third letter of recommendation requirement. It is usually an in person combined shadow/interview, but Covid restrictions prevented that in last years application cycle. It’s unclear what they will do for interviews this year, but my recruiter suspects they will be similar to last years. In my application portal there is no place to submit private shadow experience other than mentioning it in your personal statement.

My recruiter is under the impression they are still not doing in-person shadow interviews and last years candidates were interviewed via zoom by the phase II clinical coordinator. As far as time left goes, I think it’s doable depending on how hard you wanna work and what you have done already.

The university sent out an email with multiple organic and biochem classes. I ended up going through Portage learning. It is around $500 and is self-paced, but sophomore-level so hopefully it doesn't count against me. I don’t have much info, but my recruiter told me they do not typically have enough qualified candidates to fill all of their slots. However, he also said they are very strict on their requirements and won’t take someone that they don’t think will be successful. I believe there are a certain amount of slots for each category of applicant.

If I were in your position I would reach out to a medical recruiter. I’m not sure if your graduation date for your BSN will be a barrier. My recruiter said they want everything turned in by mid June this cycle. I don’t know their stance on courses in progress during that time.

Hey everyone, nice to meet you all. MikeyD, thank you for setting this up. I’m planning to apply this year as a civilian. I have 9 or so years of experience between a neuro ICU, CV/mixed ICU and a touch of ER and hemodynamic sales. Wrapped up my BSN and CCRN earlier this month and working through a biochem course recommended by the college. I got in touch with a recruiter last year and started working on my packet just after the new year. Had my first medical screening today. I’m planning on taking the GRE in March. Any tips for the GRE? Has anyone taken a prep class that they would recommend or would it be a waste of money? Best of luck to everyone attempting this!
